It might not seem like a big deal to some, but we think it’s such a nice gesture. It goes to show that they care about customers enough to remember who they are (and not just as another client).

They specialize in balayage, hair painting, and ombre styles. Clients love how natural they’re able to make the highlights and lowlights look.

Client satisfaction is their main priority, which is why they make sure to extensively train each of their stylists. Before becoming a Master Stylist, they must first complete the Junior and Mid-level Stylists apprenticeship.

Another thing we really appreciate is their silent services, which is perfect for those who aren’t really the chatty types. Even though you can basically request this at any salon, it’s still nice of them to offer on their booking form.

Note, though, that their services are relatively more expensive. But if you’re not under a tight budget, we think they’re worth shelling out for.

Also, make sure to call ahead as they get booked up quite fast, making it a bit difficult to set up an appointment.

Another thing we’d like to point out is how sleek, modern, and clean their salon is. And, the receptionist often makes rounds to offer water, tea, magazines, and anything else that would make a customer more comfortable.

Even though the services are on the pricier side, you do get a nice salon experience and we think you’ll be in good hands.

Arcane Hair Parlour is unique in the way that it offers the atmosphere of a barber and a salon, in a modern way with vintage elements. It’s basically a unisex salon with an avante-garde and Phoenix punk theme. 

We absolutely love how they pay homage to the old-fashioned salons and barber shops. And, it seems like their clients share the same sentiments.

The owner, Erika, is a creative soul who is cheerful, friendly, and always attentive to client needs. Apparently, she’s a great listener who gives her two cents in a gentle manner at every consultation.

When it comes to hair stylists, we’re always looking for these qualities. We give them extra points for it in our book.

Their edge lies in the expertise of their stylists. They strive to provide top-notch services to every client, every time.

Among them is Katie, who specializes in balayage and color treatments. She’ll be booked up weeks in advance, but her clients often say that she’s worth the wait.

It seems that she’s a charming lady who gives excellent product recommendations backed by science and her personal experience. She seems incredibly passionate about hair care and clients appear to learn a lot from her.

We only wish they were better at answering calls, as we’ve heard that it sometimes takes a client more than a few times to get ahold of someone. 

Salon Surreal is a luxurious and high-end salon conveniently located near downtown. They consider themselves a full-service day spa for clients across the valley.

In 2018, they were among Yelp’s Best Hair Salon and Day Spa. They were also named as one of the top wedding hair and makeup salons by WeddingRule in 2020.

Walking into their salon is like walking into an upscale spa. It’s obvious that they paid a great deal of attention to client comfort and relaxation.

They have a long list of competent stylists; each one professionally- and -extensively trained. The salon is also committed to providing them continued education and product knowledge.

We always appreciate companies that invest in the betterment of their staff, so kudos to them.

We also hear that their stylists are pleasant and always cheerful. Conversation is apparently never forced because they’re easy to get along with.

They offer a wide scope of services which are definitely on the more expensive side. Considering their expertise, however, we think they’re worth your money.

The only downside is we’ve heard of a few instances when stylists would show up late to appointments. We really hope they address this issue soon, as it really hurts their reputation in customer service.

Another thing we like about them is their risk-free guarantee. Simply put, if you’re not entirely happy with your hair, they will do it over for free.

We’d also like to mention that their prices are based on the stylist’s level of experience. And, additional charges apply for thicker, longer, or more textured hair.

All these factors tend to result in an even higher service fee, which surprises a few clients, especially first-timers. We recommend getting a quotation upon arrival, so you can assess whether or not you’re willing to shell out the total cost.
