How to Get to Tres Rios Wetlands
1. Private Vehicle
If you’re in Phoenix, just hop on the I-10 West and take the exit for 91st Avenue. The wetlands are near 91st Avenue and Broadway, so watch for signs in the parking area.
Depending on traffic, it usually takes about 20-30 minutes to drive there. You’ll find a free parking lot when you arrive, but it fills up fast on weekends, so getting there early is a good call.
2. Bicycle
If you’re up for fresh air and adventure, biking is a great way to the wetlands. Some awesome bike paths around the area connect to the Maricopa Trail system.
Depending on your location in Phoenix, you can enjoy a scenic ride through urban areas and then transition to more natural surroundings. Once you arrive, there are designated bike racks where you can safely park your bike.

The closest bus stop is at 91st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, and it’s just a short walk from there to the trailhead. If you’re in Phoenix already, you can hop on a Valley Metro bus heading towards Avondale and then walk the rest of the way to Tres Rios.
