5 Best Eyewear Shops in Phoenix to Find Your Perfect Frames
Phoenix sunshine doesn’t mess around, and neither should your eyewear. The best eyewear in Phoenix should sharpen your vision while handling all that desert glare.
Luckily, the city has everything from style-led boutiques to full-service optical clinics. Many have optometrists on hand, so you can sort out your prescription and your frames in one stop.
We looked for shops that balance eye care, comfort, and good-looking specs. Whether you’re due for new lenses or just want a fresher frame, these picks are worth a look.
How much does eyewear cost in Phoenix?
A complete pair of prescription glasses in Phoenix typically costs around $200 to $600 without insurance. Budget options can start much lower, while designer frames and specialty lenses can push the total past $1,000.
A routine comprehensive eye exam generally costs $60 to $250. Prices can vary between retail chains and private optometry practices.
Budget frames with lenses usually run $70 to $150. Mid-range complete pairs are closer to $180 to $250, particularly at larger optical retailers.
Independent boutiques typically charge $300 to $600+ for a complete pair. This range often covers handcrafted frames and premium lens options.
High-end designer eyewear or progressive lenses can cost $1,000 or more. Vision insurance plans such as VSP or EyeMed may provide a frame allowance of roughly $130 to $200, reducing your out-of-pocket cost.

Really great vibes
I have never needed glasses before, and the doctor was great at responding to my silliness and having fun with me. Really great.
Also! Maddie, I believe her name was Maddie, helped me with picking out the glasses, and everything was so personable and helpful.
The girl at the front desk was also personable, and the guy who did the scanning and stuff at first.
You truly have an amazing team all around!! Really great vibes. Excited to pick up my glasses!!

Today I went to LensCrafters and ordered a new pair of glasses (frames and lenses). Mauricio assisted me and was the consummate professional. He was patient and offered advice to guide my selection of frames. He also fitted a pair of glasses for my wife. He took time to explain our prescriptions and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend LensCrafters at Camelback Colonnade and Mauricio – a great combination!

2. Moon Valley Eyecare – Dr. Jesse Dominguez

Address: 14435 N 7th St Suite 104
Contact: (602) 993-2727
Hours: Monday, 9 AM – 5 PM | Tuesday-Thursday, 8 AM – 5 PM | Friday, 7:20 AM – 3 PM
Moon Valley Eyecare is a good fit if you want your frame hunt paired with serious eye care. Dr. Jesse Dominguez and the team handle comprehensive exams that look beyond just whether you can read the bottom line.
The optical side keeps things stylish with brands like Tiffany & Co. and Ray-Ban. You’ll find guidance on progressive lenses, high-definition options, frame materials, and ways to ease digital eye strain.
One practical perk is the clinic’s support for fittings and minor adjustments. That makes it easier to keep your glasses comfortable after you’ve picked them up.
The downside is the schedule, since the clinic is closed all weekend and shuts at 3 PM on Fridays. If your weekdays are packed, you’ll want to book ahead.

My first time getting an eye exam in 20 years, so I was reluctant. Needless to say, I had an amazing experience at Pearle Vision. They were patient with me afterwards while picking glasses, and the doctor made me feel extremely comfortable while going over my exam results. Would recommend 👌

4. Eyeglass World

Address: 3425 W Peoria Ave
Contact: (602) 504-2720
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 7 PM | Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM
Eyeglass World is a smart stop when your prescription needs attention, but your budget needs a little respect too.
The Leisure Village location pairs affordable frame options with independent optometric care.
You’ll find familiar names like Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Coach, plus value-focused package deals. Families may especially like the kids’ offers, while Affirm and HSA payments can make the total easier to manage.
Same-day glasses may be available for eligible prescriptions, which is handy when you’re replacing a broken pair in a hurry. Just keep in mind that stock, lens types, and promotional pricing can vary.
The main drawback is simple: the store is closed on Sundays. If weekends are your best shopping window, Saturday is your only option.

Great experience
Had a great experience with Dr. Steck and the whole staff. Had an appointment and was seen on time, when through all the same test higher-end offices, doctor was great. They have the same frames available everywhere else. The best part: only had to wait 1 day for the glasses, instead of the usual 2 weeks.

5. Framed Ewe Optical

Address: 5538 N 7th St
Contact: (602) 283-4503
Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM
Framed Ewe is where eyewear shopping starts feeling a little more like gallery browsing. The Central Phoenix boutique leans into independent labels instead of the usual wall of mainstream frames.
Its lineup includes Jacques Marie Mage, Chrome Hearts, MOSCOT, LINDBERG, AKILA, and Kuboraum. There’s an on-site optometrist for comprehensive eye exams, while opticians help with fittings and lens choices.
Prescription options include digital freeform lenses, tints, polarization, and Transitions.
That makes it a strong pick if you want distinctive frames without treating vision needs as an afterthought.
One thing to keep in mind is the schedule, since the shop closes at 5 PM and takes Sundays off. Prescription lenses may also take around two to three weeks, so it’s not the best fit for a last-minute replacement.

I hit the jackpot
I searched long and hard to find an eye shop that offer offered both frames and exams – and they are really cool fashionable frames. I hit the jackpot with framed ewe! Staff, Nico in particular helped me, were very friendly, very low pressure, and the eye doctor was terrific. This is not an inexpensive place to buy glasses lol but so worth it. I got four pair!
