5 Best Contractors For Gutter Installation In Phoenix

5 Best Contractors for Gutter Installation in Phoenix

How we picked

Quality

We picked contractors that offer industry-grade and durable products that fit the Arizona environment. They should also provide professional installation that will last many years, which we assessed through past projects.

Scope of Services

For a comprehensive service, we chose companies that also offer repairs and roofing services.  We also considered the types of gutters they offer based on materials, dimensions, designs, etc.

Qualifications

We chose those with considerable field experience through the number of years they have been in business. They must also be licensed, bonded, and insured to perform the trade.

Cost

Regarding pricing, we prefer transparent businesses that provide formal quotes with a breakdown of the fees. We also look for a manufacturer’s warranty in case issues with defective products arise.

  • Provides all-inclusive services including maintenance and repairs
  • Products come with a limited lifetime guarantee
  • Has a full line of gutter products of different materials
  • Offers free quotes on-site
  • Owner is hands-on and oversees the projects in person

Cons

  • Relatively new company
  • Track record isn’t as extensive as the others on the list

As the name suggests, the Maricopa Gutter Division, LLC is available throughout the whole county. They render an all-in-one package for all your gutter needs including installation, repair, and cleaning.

They’re a relatively new contender at the game, only opening their doors in 2018. Despite this, they’ve already won the trust of homeowners and businesses all over the valley.

As for their range of products, they have galvanized steel, seamless metal, and copper gutters that come in an assortment of designs and colors. These systems are directly sourced from LeafGuard, which is known for its quality, durable, and patented products.

What we like about their gutter systems is that they’re custom fit and installed away from the eaves of the roof. This ensures that no damage is inflicted on your roofing, so you wouldn’t have to worry about voiding any warranty.

These also reduce the need for add-ons like covers, but the company readily has all kinds of hardware available as the need arises. One customer happily reported that they were able to match their roofing and exterior elements for a polished look.

Gutter maintenance services are also on offer, which is great as dirt accumulates in the long run. If you ask us, we think they’re also better equipped to clean the gutters they installed themselves.

Overall, we think it’s worth giving them a chance even if they’re only 6 years in business. Their products and labor apparently come with a guarantee, which is assuring.

Pros

  • 40 years in business
  • Comprehensive roofing services, including maintenance
  • Offers free estimates and financing
  • Gutters come in a variety of styles and are customizable
  • Quality and seamless work on fabrication

Cons

  • Limited choice of materials for gutters
  • Has a record of turning down projects

Jim Brown and Sons Roofing is a full-service roofing company backed with 40 years of business. They’re also local and family-owned with humble beginnings, which eventually grew into a company of around 80 employees as of date.

According to them, they owe their success to a commitment to quality services and work ethics. This is evidenced by an inventory of industry-grade products with strong warranties, an A+ BBB rating, and fully qualified and passionate techs, among others.

We like that they make it a point to keep learning about the trade through ongoing training sessions, so they could stay on top of the latest trends. This shows whenever clients consult with them for advice and quotes, which is free by the way.

They specialize in K-style aluminum gutters that are custom fabricated to better fit your home, plus these come in a variety of colors and hardware. Other than that, they’re currently not offering any other materials.

We heard that it takes approximately seven hours to finish installing a whole system for the average home, which is a quick turnaround. Having heard from some clients, they’re apparently thorough with the installation and maintain a clean work area.

The accumulation of debris, especially from trees, is also inevitable so they also offer maintenance services and gutter cleaning. From a few detached roof shingles to an entire roofing replacement, they’re amenable to doing it all from what we’ve seen.

That being said, there were some cases where they ended up denying customers of their services. Some of the reasons we’ve heard involve the scope of the project or conflicts with the Registrar of Contractors.

Pros

  • Environmentally-friendly and green-rated products
  • Affiliated with trusted trade associations
  • Honors the warranty on parts and labor
  • Quick turnaround times
  • Responsive with concerns post-installation
  • In good standing with the BBB and Registrar of Contractors

Cons

  • Not a lot of materials and designs to choose from
  • Hidden fees

MSW Contracting, LLC is a full-service roofing contractor for only about a decade but has made a name for themselves within the local roofing industry.

For one, they’re affiliated with prominent trade associations such as the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), among others.

More importantly, at least to us, they’ve also accumulated an impressive number of green certifications over a short span of years. Some of these are from Energy Star, Green Seal, and Build it Green.

As a result of incorporating environmental impact in their business model, the BBB has listed them under their BBB4Good category on top of an A+ rating.

In terms of catalog, we wish they had more types of materials and profiles they have on offer. They generally provide seamless metal gutters and downspouts for both residential and commercial projects.

Other items available are leaf protection and gutter guards to avoid the build-up of debris and conductor heads for channeling water to downspouts.

On the other hand, we heard it’s a breeze working with their staff and service crew. A lot of their clients have given them props for always being on the dot on all accounts, remotely or in person.

However, some have reported hidden charges when it comes to payment that could prompt clients to scratch their heads. While the company assures us that they’re not overcharging, we hope they could provide detailed fees next time.

Still, one of the things we appreciate is that they honor the guarantee on their work and would come back in case a client encounters a problem with the installation. They also hold up with the warranty, which is a bang for your buck.

Pros

  • Has a wide inventory of high-quality gutters
  • Quick and on-time over the phone and out on the field
  • Accurate measurements and installation
  • BBB-accredited and rated A+
  • Offers a 5-year warranty on labor

Cons

  • Relatively young company compared to others
  • Doesn’t offer maintenance services

Established in 2013, Energy Conservation Specialist LLC offers a unique round-up of services. Other than rain gutters, they also provide drainage solutions, skylights, and window installations.

The name says it all–the company aims to protect a home from harsh weather conditions by optimizing energy efficiency and protecting the substructure and interiors. Rain or blistering shine, it seems your home will be in tip-top shape.

Clients have the option between aluminum or copper gutters, which are both highly durable and weather-resistant. Copper in particular offers exceptional quality and can even last a lifetime.

Aside from the typical K-style gutters we see everywhere and other seamless variations, they also fabricate half-round gutters. Some advantages of using this type are that they’re easier to clean and unclog because of the smooth surface on the inside.

Because there are no corners, there’s also a lesser chance of water pooling along the corners. This also reduces corrosion in the long run, especially when made out of copper material.

Not that we’re trying to upsell anything, but their drainage solutions also come highly-recommend by several customers. We think it’s an all-encompassing approach to think about how the water would drain as soon as it reaches the ground.

On another note, we heard their service crew are also some of the most pleasant people to work with. From talking on the phone until after finishing the job, they’re apparently responsive and conscientious all throughout.

Special mentions go out to their foreman Paul for the excellent customer service and for helping clients make informed decisions.

We might be asking for a lot considering everything they have to offer, but we wished they also provided gutter cleaning and protection services. Other than that, they’re definitely one of the best we’ve seen around.

Pros

  • Wide selection of colors and materials, including Galvalume
  • 40+ years of industry experience
  • Comprehensive services including cleaning and gutter protection
  • Accurate cost and material estimates
  • In good standing with the BBB and the Registrar of Contractors

Cons

  • Can only service as far as Glendale
  • Some reports of being unresponsive to phone calls

Arizona Seamless Gutters had their start in 1981 as a mobile service with only one truck. Decades later, they have grown to be one of the most trusted gutter contractors in North Phoenix.

Considering this, you might want to skip this part if you’re from the southern parts of the valley.

They focus on fabricating gutters, which means you’ll be getting specialized services. They’re also fully equipped with multiple trucks and computer-assisted machines to produce an array of designs.

These can be made from aluminum, copper, or their best-selling Galvalume. They’re apparently the first company to introduce this type of product in the state, which shows us that they’re up to date with the latest advancements in the trade.

Galvalume is arguably the superior material in gutter production, made with a compound of zinc, silicon, and aluminum. This is also the preferred choice in roofing materials because of its self-healing properties and high performance in all aspects.

It’s also worth noting that they also install rainwater harvesting systems in junction with gutter installment.

Furthermore, they also provide gutter maintenance packages that come with the installation. If you don’t want to look any further for gutter cleaning services, they’re your guys.

On some occasions, however, some clients were reportedly met with a lack of response after settling a downpayment. We think it’s likely that the customers used them during peak months right before monsoon season.

Word of advice, it’s best to get things in working order months before the rainy season rolls around.
