The lookout is easily accessible by car via Summit Road, and this is the most straightforward way. It’s about a 30-minute drive from downtown Phoenix. 

You can take South Mountain Park Drive directly to the summit. The road is scenic and well-maintained, providing beautiful views along the way and a large parking lot at the summit.

The closest bus stop is 40th St & Fremont Dr, about a 7-minute walk from the lookout.

The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa was a total oasis in the desert. It boasted a massive water park perfect for cooling off. We spent hours riding thrilling slides and relaxing in the lazy river.

Our spacious and comfortable suite was equipped with all the amenities we needed. The spa treatments were pure bliss after a day of exploring, and we indulged in a couple of them during our stay.

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix Chandler and found it a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the area. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, with a clean and inviting atmosphere. 

The hotel also has an outdoor pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Although we didn’t use it, the fitness center seemed well-equipped for staying active during the trip.
