The 5 Best Omakase Restaurants in Phoenix for Sushi Worth Savoring

Chef Training & Pedigree: We evaluated the head itamae’s background to ensure top-tier culinary skills. We prioritized counters led by Japanese-born or internationally trained master chefs with decades of experience.

Ingredient Authenticity & Sourcing: We assessed the fish supply chains to see who serves the highest quality seafood. Our focus was on establishments flying in pristine, never-frozen catches directly from premier global markets.

Counter Ambiance & Intimacy: We reviewed the physical layout to find spaces that offer a truly personalized dining atmosphere. We favored highly intimate, limited-capacity counters that allow for close interaction with the chef.

Value & Structural Transparency: We analyzed reservation pathways and pricing structures across different budget tiers. This ensures you get a clear understanding of the overall value per course before you book a seat.

Looking for a genuinely mind-blowing dinner? You’re in for a treat because the valley is hiding some incredible sushi counters.

It’s another fantastic option aside from French restaurants or the more casual pizza delivery spots that Phoenix is known for.

This restaurant puts up a solid case for best sushi in Arizona. The $95 omakase is very reasonable for the quality and taste of the sushi. The chef was very knowledgably and kind, answered any questions I threw at him, he was also very funny. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Everything was absolutely delicious

Had the 10-piece omakase lunch. Everything was absolutely delicious. Each piece of fish was perfectly cut and very tender with excellent flavors. The rice was very well cooked and the overall experience was superb. Very happy to have this new sushi restaurant in my neighborhood.

Loved it very much

Took my husband for his birthday  and he was very pleased with the food and service (our first time here). He ordered the Omakase and loved it very much that he said he would order it again. He also order the seaweed salad and said it was the best seaweed he has had so far of all places he has gone. 💯% recommended and we will returned.

The real star was the omakase

First this place is super small and fills up quick for lunch and dinner. It doesn’t have the greatest ambiance either. However the food is very good! We ordered a few rolls (dynamite and OMG) which were both good but the real star was the Omakase, it’s a platter that the chef prepares and serves. It had a little bit of everything as far as sashimi and nigiri with their signature black rice.

They were amazing

This is one of the best Sushi in AZ! We ordered omakase a few times from Leo and had each time they were amazing. Their sushi rival San Francisco’s sushi. My friend thinks their sushi is better some of upscale sushi restaurants in New York! When I am in AZ, I either go to Leo’s or his father’s sushi. 🙂

Awesome

Leo and the team are awesome!  We had the Omakase chef’s dinner was an experience… true sushi lovers will enjoy chef Leo’s pairing with sake and how he has orchestrated a meal that delights the palate.

This place is such a gem here in Chandler. I’ve been twice, and each time was absolutely incredible. The omakase style menu had minor changes each time I went, keeping it fun and exciting for me. The presentation is always top notch, and the description of the dish from the servers and bartenders really help engage you with the experience. Overall, I cannot recommend highly enough. It’s pricey, but well worth it.

Definitely go with the omakase

Went here for their Omakase (chefs choice) and it was incredible from start to finish. Our server was very attentive and did a great job describing all of the dishes. Also an amazing cocktail selection. If you’re looking for a fun experience definitely go with the Omakase. We had 8 different courses and they were all delicious. Highly recommend.
