Biltmore Dental Center has been in the business of creating smiles since 2000, comprising of a devoted team of professionals from diverse dental backgrounds. They provide an array of services from cosmetic dentistry to dental implants.

They made quite the impression on us as a recipient of the Top Dentists award from Phoenix Magazine and the Best of the Desert from The Arizona Republic.

At the helm of the clinic is Dr. Sameet Koppikar, a certified doctor of dental surgery with marketing and psychology degrees under his belt. 

Other than that, he spends his time as a faculty member at the Arizona School of Dentistry and a volunteer for the underserved at Brighter Way Dental Center. We admire his dedication to the local community, earning the clinic points from us.

As for teeth whitening, we heard patients recall enjoyable and stress-free experiences in the care of their dentists. They even put on some Netflix or have their adorable therapy dog offer some comfort while you wait for the hour-long session to finish.

Because of the top-shelf services, a lot of their patients have stayed with them for years. Regardless of where you are in your dental health, all members of their staff are seemingly eager and genuine in their efforts to provide assistance.

On the other hand, some have complained that they’re pushy when it comes to selling other products and services, even those not covered by insurance. In these cases, we hope they become more mindful and respect the medical decisions of their patients.

A few others have reported long wait times and hygienists who don’t spend time answering questions, which makes for a rushed appointment. 

Established in 1981, Advanced Dental Health offers a breadth of services in restorative, general, and cosmetic dentistry for the whole family. Founder Dr. Todd R. Holton first conducted his practice for 26 years in Medford, Oregon before moving to Phoenix.

Eventually, it has become one of the most trusted dental clinics by locals as it constantly improves the quality of services. All specialists undergo a careful and intensive evaluation to ensure that patients are in the best hands.

This also manifests in the regular upkeep and sterilization of their facilities, making sure they comply with standards set by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

As the name suggests, the clinic is also equipped with the latest technology. They also have tv screens in each room where they walk you through the procedure, which is a helpful way to visualize the process.

We like that they personalize teeth whitening treatments by first laying the groundwork with diagnostics. Patients will undergo a consultation to address any pre-existing dental conditions before proceeding with bleaching.

According to them, this method is the more comprehensive and cost-effective option. For those who prefer to avail teeth whitening and nothing more, they’re still willing to accommodate from what we’ve seen.

They also offer the option for at-home procedures with their GLO Professional Whitening kit as aftercare or on its own. Keep in mind that they’re closed from Friday to Sunday.

Unfortunately, there were cases of hidden fees that resulted in bills costing more than the initial quote. The rates are expensive on their own, so we wish they were more transparent with surcharges and breakdown of fees.

Artistic Dental is a general family clinic that has been around for more than two decades, led and established by Dr. John P. Dougherty. 

Before opening his private practice, he worked for a mobile dental service that traveled to underprivileged families around the state. 

His philosophy is that quality care doesn’t stop at delivering the best results, but with how they treat patients. This shows in the helpful, warm, and friendly demeanor of their staff, taking the stress out of visiting a dentist. 

We heard that patients feel heard during appointments and dentists are communicative from consultation until after treatment. A lot of their patrons have been coming to them for years, which speaks volumes.

They also offer a full scope of services that address general dental issues for all ages. Their teeth whitening is affordable and is best paired with a deep cleaning from what we’ve heard.

Another thing we like is that their website offers a wealth of information on everything there is to know about teeth whitening. 

Moreover, they’re apparently honest when it comes to spotting pressing dental concerns or botched work from past treatments. Because of this, patients can expect to get more info out of their appointments than what they initially came for.

However, we heard a few instances of miscommunication when it comes to billing and insurance coverage, which led to some people paying more or out of pocket. 

A handful of others also had their appointments pushed back to a later date, but the staff is more than willing to make it right from what we’ve heard. Otherwise, the quality of their services and level of care for patients puts them at the forefront for us.

Desert Smiles Dentistry was launched by Dr. Akhil Mehta and has served families all over the valley for 15 years and counting. 

While their goal is to provide the highest standard of care, they also make it a point to establish lasting relationships with their patients.

As far as we can tell, they have consistently maintained their roster of loyal clientele. Some who even have hopped from one clinic to another are happy to report that they’re the right fit, which says a lot. 

This is mainly attributed to  Dr. Mehta and his partner Dr. Jonathan Robles, who are a pleasant and genuine pair from what we’ve heard.

The same could be said about their front office and support staff, who are apparently enthusiastic about providing adequate information and assistance. They also go out of their way to make patients comfortable, like offering blankets for instance.

Out of all their services, teeth whitening seems to be popular among patients. They have three methods to choose from.

The Zoom! Is an in-office procedure, but they also offer take-home trays for those who don’t have the time. For a balance of both, the Opalescence Boost is highly recommended as this can be performed on-site or at home.

Before proceeding with bleaching, the dentist will first conduct a thorough examination to keep track of any issues patients may have with their teeth. This allows them to tailor-fit a procedure that will work best with your lifestyle and dental hygiene.

However, slots can get booked pretty quickly, which could mean you’ll have to wait a while. As a result, the phone rep isn’t as prompt with responding to calls as we’d like.

Arizona Biltmore Dentistry is a homegrown dental clinic that launched in 2013. The office was bought from the previous owner by Dr. Aaron Jeziorski, an esteemed doctor of medical medicine.

If he’s not on-site, Jeziorski spends his time educating aspiring dentists at the A.T. Still University and the BrighterWay Dental Center for the homeless. He himself continues to expand his knowledge in the profession to stay on top of the latest advancements.

Another thing we admire is his commitment to providing a comfortable environment for his patients. 

Upon visiting, we were blown away by the sleek but relaxing interiors furnished with a suite of leading-tech equipment. We like that they offer complimentary amenities such as beverages, blankets, and pillows.

It seems they’re highly recommended for new patients and those dealing with a lot of anxiety, and we concur. The members of their staff are all forthcoming with info and receptive when it comes to patient concerns.

As for teeth whitening, they offer customized in-office procedures using professional-grade tools. This effectively rids your teeth of years of accumulated stains in just one session from what we’ve seen.

The package includes a tube of whitening bleach for touch-ups at home, but they also have dedicated take-home whitening trays if you want to skip the hassle of office appointments.

That said, it could get busy in their office at times and a few have reported delays in their appointment. We heard it’s because they running low on staff, but rest assured that it’s not a normal occurrence.

There were also some complaints about missed steps on protocols, like hygienists forgetting to hand out tubes of fluoride or gauze for instance. Still, they seem to respond promptly to these concerns and are willing to make up for any mistake.
