Here, we took into account their warranty terms and any other deal inclusions to assess how reasonable their prices were.

Payment Flexibility

RVs aren’t cheap. So, we did some digging on how flexible they are in terms of payments and financing options.

Pros

  • Locally-owned and -operated since 1966
  • A consistent winner of the Top RV Business Dealer Award
  • Has one of the largest RV inventories in Arizona
  • Relatively affordable RVs
  • Offers financing with competitive programs

Cons

  • Reports of being uncooperative and inconsiderate with warranty claims
  • Some staff members need better customer service training

Little Dealer Little Prices is a locally-owned and -operated family company since 1966. Interestingly, their name came from their first customers who loved coming to a “little dealer that offered little prices” on quality RVs.

They’re a consistent winner of the Top RV Business Dealer Award by RV Business since the publication’s inception. This alone is a telltale sign of the quality of RVs and service they provide their customers.

What’s great about them is that they have one of the largest RV inventories in the entirety of Arizona. They carry a wide selection of brands and a good variety of RVs, including new ones, used ones, cargo trailers, and more.

Because of how huge their inventory is, they’re able to sell RVs to customers at much lower prices with major factory and dealer incentives.

They also offer RV financing. Apparently, even if you’ve had credit problems before, they offer competitive programs and terms that would best fit your budget.

A major issue we’ve heard, however, is that they’re not as helpful when it comes to warranty claims. Some customers have had trouble with their Warranty Administrator and Service Managers being uncooperative and inconsiderate.

The same goes for a few of their sales people. We’ve heard that some of them are unhelpful, not attentive, and unfriendly at times.

Pros

  • Has been in business since 1996
  • Massive showroom of new and pre-owned RVs
  • Authorized dealership of major RV brands
  • Offers a lot of flexibility in financing options

Cons

  • Limited RV brands available
  • Could work on being more communicative with customers

Orangewood RV Center opened shop in 1996, and has since been owner-operated and customer-centric. They’re a full-service RV center with a 6,500-square feet showroom housing new and pre-owned RVs.

They’re an authorized dealership by major brands such as Keystone RV, Grand Design, KZ-RV, Eclipse, and Riverside RV. Quite limited compared to other shops, but you do get a good selection of each brand.

What stood out to us is their state-of-the-art facility. It’s not just big (12-acres worth!), but it’s also clean, modern, and it’s obvious that they’ve invested a lot into making their place an exciting destination for RV enthusiasts.

When it comes to financing, they offer more than just the vehicle itself. You can also finance parts, accessories, extended service plans, and anything else you’d possibly need!

We think this is extremely helpful to those on a tight budget, as it offers a ton of flexibility in what you get and what you’re paying for.

A common complaint, however, is their lack of communication. Apparently, some customers had to make several follow up calls for updates, while others had unreturned messages.

We understand how frustrating this can be, especially since these purchases are often worth tens of thousands of dollars. We hope they’d work on being more responsive, particularly on updates regarding RV deliveries and financing approvals.

Pros

  • Has been around since 1979
  • Offers new, pre-owned, and luxury RVs
  • Flexible financing options available
  • Known to have accommodating and friendly sales reps

Cons

  • Prices are a tad more expensive
  • Closed on Sundays

In the southwest, Tom’s Camperland is among the most well-known places to get an RV. This comes as no surprise, though, as they’ve been a trusted dealership since 1979.

Take it from their name – they offer a wide variety of camping needs, including all types of new, pre-owned, or luxury RVs. And, they carry a relatively huge collection of RV brands.

Financing is also an option. What’s great is that they’ve maintained close relations with several local and national lenders, which allows them to offer superior financing rates.

Moreover, they’re able to set up customers with flexible financing packages with lower rates and longer terms to help ease some of the financial burden.

From what we’ve heard, their sales reps are super accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable at what they’re selling. It seems that a lot of their customers actually enjoyed the buying process, rather than get overwhelmed at the selection and rates.

Speaking of rates, we did notice that their prices are a tad more expensive than other dealerships. The upside is, they often run promotions and major deals in-store and online.

Whether the slight price increases are a marketing gimmick or not, we’re not complaining, as long as customers are getting the most bang for their buck.

Pros

  • Has been in business since 1998
  • Friendly and experienced sales professionals
  • Exceptional customer service even after a sale

Cons

  • Very limited RV inventory available
  • Limited financing options
  • Closed on Sundays

Destination RV was established by Chris Coates back in 1998. Since then, they’ve managed to become one of the leading dealerships in the metro, reflected by glowing reviews left by their customers.

What we like about them is that they have friendly and experienced sales professionals. And when we say sales, we mean the entire team handling your purchase – from financing to service, up to parts and storage.

They have a loyal clientele and marketing is mostly through word-of-mouth. This speaks volumes on the exceptional quality of service they’ve been able to provide, even after a sale has been finalized.

The major drawback, however, is that they only have a limited RV inventory. This goes for both the kind and the brands they have in-store.

It appears that they usually have a rotating set of items available, and there’s no guarantee when a certain model will come back in stock. For the most part, you’d really need to drop by and see for yourself what they currently have.

And while they offer financing options, the terms aren’t as flexible as other dealerships can pull. So if you’re looking to get a better deal, this might not be the place for you.

Pros

  • Established in 2003
  • A division of a truck-based company
  • Experts at chassis and RV conversion
  • Custom-built RVs available
  • Great after-sale customer service

Cons

  • Significantly more expensive RVs
  • Financing needs downpayment and approved credit
  • Closed on weekends

SportTrucRV was established in 2003 with the goal to become the premiere source of heavy duty recreational vehicles. They’re a division of Velocity Vehicle Group, which is one of the country’s largest full-service truck dealerships.

This entails a major advantage, as purchasing from a truck-based company that understands the chassis and RV conversion process seems to be a logical move.

They also custom-build RV units that have appeared on the covers of various RV magazines and Travel Channel’s “Extreme RV’s”. And, they have the country’s largest selection of ready-made inventory.

Their sales reps are knowledgeable and quite accommodating, which makes the buying process a delight to most customers. It seems that they really look for the best RVs for the customer’s lifestyle and needs, and not just what fits within the budget.

After-sale customer service is exceptional, too, as customers often commend them for being helpful and responsive over the phone. You’d be surprised how many dealerships leave customers to fend for themselves once the contract has been signed.

With all these, expect to pay premiums for their RVs with standard warranties. You may of course avail of financing, but you do need a minimum down payment and approved credit.
