This animal hospital provides a variety of services, particularly for dogs and cats. They have preventive care services such as vaccinations and parasite prevention, surgery such as spay & neuter, and a dedicated dental health service for your pets.

Their veterinary care also covers reptiles, birds, and other exotic animals, which is great news for pet owners of their kind. Hence, we think that this clinic ticks all the boxes when it comes to providing a wide array of services for pet owners.

Moreover, they make appointments easily via their website based on customer accounts. 

To give pet owners peace of mind, there’s also an option to call them directly in times of life-threatening emergencies. You can expect an immediate response since they’re one branch out of 22 in a family of AZPetVet clinics all over the valley.

However, we’ve heard some complaints from owners who found it hard to book an earlier appointment. This may be troubling for some especially if you think your pet requires urgent care.

There have also been a few complaints regarding the staff’s level of hospitality. Having a sick pet could be a stressful time, so we hope they would look into training their staff to relate better with pet owners.

When it comes to rates, we advise pet owners to be ready to spend anywhere between $500 to $1000 or more depending on the procedure. Thankfully they also offer interest-free payment plans to make their services more financially accessible.

Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital is a relatively small clinic but with a big heart by all accounts. Dr. Jason Kanarish, a finance officer turned veterinarian, founded the clinic as a decision to pursue a lifelong dream of caring for animals.

Their primary commitment is to strengthen the bond between pet and owner and to maximize the years they could spend together. This is honored through their comprehensive veterinary services and advanced surgical and medical equipment.

To further ensure that your critter is getting the highest quality care, they have partnered with other pet services such as a boarding facility and some board-certified specialists. 

It seems owners have a lot of good things to say about their team, especially with their warmhearted and conscientious approach. According to some clients, it’s pretty obvious that they love what they’re doing.

Furthermore, owners swear by their emergency services for acute conditions. They’re apparently quick to respond and even take time off their break just to attend to your beloved pet.

They also spend time with the owners in explaining procedures. This is carried over to their Pet Portal, which regularly sends updates on medications and annual vaccinations, and the like.

Another thing we love is that they offer free services to adopted pets from Home ‘Fur’ Good, a partner shelter. It’s part of their advocacy to promote adoption instead of shopping for pets, which is refreshing.

However, some owners were disproving of their front desk lady, who was less than willing to assist them with inquiries and follow-up concerns. We’ve also heard of some appointment delays, which we hope they’ve already addressed.

Nevertheless, the good points outweigh the bad for us thanks to their dedicated and compassionate health care unit. 

As the name suggests, All Creatures Animal Clinic welcomes all kinds of animals beyond your usual canine and feline. They’re comprised of seasoned veterinarians with diversified experience, making them one of the best animal clinics in the valley.

We love that they offer full-service veterinary care that runs the gamut from acupuncture therapy to soft tissue surgery.  They’re also accredited by the AAHA, which comes as no surprise considering the extent of their practice.

Since their establishment in 1987 by Dr. Irvin Ingram, they have serviced hundreds and thousands of critters across Phoenix. To further increase your confidence, we’ve heard they’re a kind and compassionate bunch who have your pet’s best interests in mind.

For one of their regular clients, their first time at their clinic was a great experience from the front desk to the attending vet. 

They apparently spent their time going over all the options for the most cost-effective and sustainable solution for the owner’s cat. We think it’s thoughtful of their staff to check in on the owners, too. 

Some customers who walked in with adopted pets also feel comfortable with them, which is a good sign for us. If you have an adopted or special needs pet, they’ll be more than willing to accommodate you.

Unfortunately, it may be harder for them to squeeze in last-minute appointments and urgent cases because of the volume of patients they see every day. 

Because of this, they may not be reliable for emergency services. Alternatively, they indicated referrals on their website to other vet clinics that offer after-hour emergency services, which we think counts for a lot.

Canyon Animal Hospital is a husband and wife tandem founded by Kelly and Lori Hehn. For 18 years, they have served cats and dogs all over Phoenix with routine wellness, surgery, immunizations, and surgery among others.

This animal clinic is a hidden gem, or so they say. We’ve heard shining reviews of their expert services, where they’re particularly nimble with soft tissue surgery as in spaying and neutering.

Their level of skill also matches their genuine regard towards animals, which is all a pet owner could ask for in a vet. Some of their customers even travel from outside of the state just to see them, which speaks volumes.

We also love their approach to treating animals, first gaining their trust and getting to know them before performing any treatment. If we could rate them for bedside manners, they’re a 10, paws-down.

Moreover, they’re easy to reach out to and are responsive through all their lines of correspondence. You won’t run into canned replies here from what we’ve seen.

Since they’re a fairly small clinic, keep in mind that they only accept patients by appointment and during their clinic hours only. For urgent pet care, we think it’s better to look somewhere else.

Another downside is that they require payment when the service is rendered and are not offering payment plans. They’re not the most financially flexible animal clinic, so this is something to consider.

Still, a lot of the pet owners in their care don’t seem to mind because of the quality of service they’re getting in return. Because your fur baby is getting the best care, we think the downsides are worth looking over.

With over 30 years of experience, Camelwest Animal Hospital has been offering a full scope of veterinary services from general wellness to end-of-life care. They cater to common household pets, reptiles, birds, and other exotic animals.

The staff consists of DVMs and veterinarian assistants – plus some cats – who mainly serve the west Phoenix areas. Still, they have pet owners who come and visit from other parts of the valley.

Right away, they boast a suite of cutting-edge equipment used in surgery, x-ray, and other medical procedures. This is complemented by a fully-stocked pharmacy that is available for online orders for your critter’s convenience.

In case they don’t have the tools at their disposal, they have easy access to external laboratories from affiliated pet care services. Unfortunately, they’re not known to offer emergency care, which could be a dealbreaker for some.

Another thing that we like is the smooth-sailing process of booking an appointment through their online portal. We’ve heard they’re generally prompt and stick to the schedule, which fast-tracks the whole process.

However, some have commented that the lady at the front office tends to be short and rude. We hope they would consider improving in this area, especially since the front desk is the first port of call when visiting the clinic.

This could also affect the good rapport established by the vets with the pet owners and could prompt them to take their critters somewhere else.

On the bright side, we think their Pet Annual Wellness (PAW) Plans have proven helpful, considering how costly it could be to take your pet to the vet.
