Top 5 Furniture Stores in Phoenix

Top 7 Furniture Stores in Phoenix

How We Chose the Best Furniture Stores in Phoenix

Scope of Selection

We looked not just at their selection of furniture, but the selection of designs available as well.

Delivery Fees

We also considered how reasonable their delivery fees are. We understand that this usually poses issues for customers, so we went ahead and did the research for you.

Product Availability

If you go furniture shopping a lot, you’d know that some items take weeks or even months to become available. So, we looked into whether or not these stores often had stocks available on hand.

Customer Service

Here, we took into account how helpful and attentive their staff members were. We also considered how responsive they are to customer inquiries and concerns.

Pros

  • One of the biggest furniture retailers in the US
  • Massive warehouse with a wide variety of furniture to choose from
  • Offers price matching to guarantee low product costs
  • Offers free delivery and low flat rates for full-service deliveries
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Gets really packed during weekends
  • Quality of furniture is just average

Living Spaces is one of the biggest furniture retailers across the US. They’re a go-to store for a lot of people mainly because they offer almost any furniture you might need.

Whether you’re in need of new dining chairs or a kid’s bed, you’ll find it here – in several brands, designs, colors, and patterns to boot.

What we love about their Phoenix store is how massive it is. You can easily get lost here just browsing among rooms after rooms of different furniture sets.

Another thing we like about them is their lowest price guarantee. For most of their items, they’ll price match plus take an additional 10% off 30 days before or after you make a purchase.

We have to say, though, don’t expect too much from the quality. They’re not bad, but we also think they’re not the best – which is understandable, considering the low prices.

Delivery is free, too, with no minimum purchase amount! Should you need to have your furniture assembled, they offer a flat delivery fee that’s available as early as the same day you order.

We also found out that their sales reps aren’t paid on commissions. It’s probably why they’re so patient and they really take their time attending to customers – which we really appreciate.

Our pro tip is to come visit on a weekday. It’s probably obvious why, but the place gets seriously packed on weekends which makes it more difficult to shop around.

Pros

  • Known to carry high-end furniture with top notch quality
  • Has unique pieces and is the exclusive retailer of several designer brands
  • Sources goods from local artisans on top of international makers
  • Knowledgeable and helpful staff members
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Some furniture items are website-exclusive
  • Significantly expensive furniture pieces

Among our top picks is For The People, a meticulously-curated space for contemporary and mid-century modern pieces. High-end furniture is what they’re best known for, and they truly hit the mark when it comes to uniqueness and quality.

What we love about them is they source goods from local artisans on top of their international makers. We think this is a great way to keep the spirit of community alive, especially for a neighborhood shop.

We think this store would be perfect for customers who love eclectic designs. We found unusual colors, patterns, and furniture finishes here that we didn’t find anywhere else.

They’re also the exclusive Arizona retailer of several designer brands, including Blu Dot, Gus*, Tom Dixon, and Bend Goods.

For a smaller space, we’re pleasantly surprised to find that they carry a lot of designs for many of their furniture. We suggest browsing through their website first, as some items are not on display in-store.

We also really appreciate how friendly their staff members are. Everyone is super knowledgeable about the products they have and are more than willing to help you find whatever you’re looking for.

Delivery rates are pretty standard and vary according to weight and distance. Typically, customers are able to receive their orders within a week.

Pros

  • Curbside pickup
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Convenient online shopping experience
  • Strong reputation for quality
  • Competitive and affordable prices

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays
  • No promos and discounts at the present

When it comes to furniture shopping, we’ve all had our fair share of horror stories — couches that didn’t fit through the door, tables that wobbled like a Jenga tower, and wardrobes that collapsed at the mere sight of a pair of jeans.

That’s why we were thrilled to stumble upon Say Yes to the Dresser, the furniture store that has us saying “I do” to their exceptional services, convenience, reputation, and cost.

From the moment we walked through their doors, we were greeted by a team of interior design experts who were as friendly as the cast of Friends. They listened to our needs and preferences with the attentiveness of a therapist.

Their knowledge of furniture was so extensive, we half expected them to start quoting Shakespearean sonnets about the intricacies of upholstery.

Convenience is the name of the game at Say Yes to the Dresser. Not only do they have a wide selection of furniture that could make even Marie Kondo swoon, but they also offer a seamless online shopping experience.

Their website is as user-friendly as a puppy eager to fetch your dream dresser. And when it comes to delivery, they were as punctual as a Swiss watch, ensuring our new treasures arrived unscathed and ready to transform our living space.

Say Yes to the Dresser has built a name for themselves as the go-to furniture store for those who value quality without breaking the bank. They’re like the Houdini of the furniture world, magically turning a modest budget into a design extravaganza.

Sadly, we can’t shop on Mondays because their store is closed. We advise paying them a visit during weekends, where there is less customer traffic (or competition over their fabulous furnitures).

Pros

  • Carries designer-selected model home furniture
  • Furniture are barely used and priced 30%-80% lower than original prices
  • New deliveries weekly
  • Has professionally-trained design consultants

Cons

  • Limited stocks available
  • Does not accept returns or exchanges
  • Closed from Monday to Wednesday

Furniture Affair is a favorite among bargain shoppers. The concept of this store is that they purchase designer-selected model home furniture and accessories, and then sell those at 30%-80% lower than original prices.

We think this is incredibly smart of them, as we know that model home furniture are mostly barely used. The quality remains great, but you’ll be able to snatch them up for significantly cheaper.

A downside is that there are often fewer stocks. Say you’d like a set of dining chairs but need more than what they offer – you won’t be able to purchase more from them and would need to find that specific chair somewhere else.

We’d like to point out, too, that all sales are final. They don’t accept exchanges or returns, so just keep that in mind when deciding to purchase from them.

The upside is they have new furniture come every week, so every visit feels like there’s something new to see.

Everything is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you find something you like, it’s best to purchase it right away. They hold reservations only up to an hour while shopping in-store.

We also really appreciate that their design consultants are professionally-trained. This way, they’re able to give sound advice and guidance to all their customers.

Pros

  • Offers unique, vintage furniture pieces
  • Has a variety of designs and styles available
  • Accepts custom furniture orders and restoration
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Limited furniture selection
  • Prices are relatively more expensive

When it comes to hunting for vintage furniture, Twigs and Twine is one of your best bets. They’re a humble little shop where the inventory is always changing and you have the option to have custom furniture made or restored.

The furniture selection isn’t as varied or consistent as other shops on this list, but we still included them as they have some really unique pieces available. And we know that some customers like their furniture doused with plenty of “personality”.

What customers love about them is that they don’t stick to one style niche – here, you’ll find mid-century furniture, modern ones, vintage finishes, and more. It really is quite a visual treat to walk around their store.

Their prices also skew a bit on the higher side. Quite understandable, considering the amount of craftsmanship and quality that went into every piece.

We also like how enthusiastic they are when it comes to custom furniture orders and restoration. If you find or bring in an interesting piece, they’ll happily work with you to bring your vision to life.

Their sales reps are super friendly and helpful, too. They won’t rush you to make a decision; rather, they will patiently walk you around the store and help you make a purchase you’re truly happy about.

Pros

  • Huge selection of furniture and designs in an 80,000-square foot warehouse
  • A family-owned, local business
  • Relatively affordable pieces that don’t compromise quality
  • Quick to deliver orders

Cons

  • Doesn’t deliver outside Arizona
  • Some reports on difficulty exchanging or refunding products

Pruitt’s Furniture started from a small garage over 70 years ago, which has now grown to an 80,000-square foot warehouse. It’s a family-owned, local business that’s well-known around the community for great customer satisfaction rates.

What we love about them is their huge selection of furniture and designs. Each showroom is also thoughtfully-arranged to help you visualize the pieces in the space.

Their products are also relatively affordable and the quality is surprisingly good. They come from a wide variety of brands as well, so you’re really given a lot of options.

Availability is almost never an issue with them, as they readily have stocks on-hand. This is also why they’re able to accommodate same-day deliveries.

Regular deliveries are pretty quick, too! In most cases, customers are able to receive their orders within a mere two days – a rare occurrence in the furniture industry.

We found their sales reps to be very helpful and patient in guiding customers. It seems like they really know their stuff and they won’t pester you into buying things you don’t need.

A downside is that they don’t deliver outside of Arizona. Unless you’re willing to make the trip and pick up the furniture yourself, they really only cater to the local community.

We also think they could work on being more accommodating when it comes to returns or exchanges. Apparently, some customers have had issues with them not being attentive to these concerns.
