Treatment comes in the form of a program using an “Optimized Human” approach, which focuses on the body’s regenerative abilities. It’s developed by founder and Naturopathic Doctor Udell, who brings 20+ years of experience in the field. 

Under his system, the process starts with bloodwork, then consultations, providing personalized lifestyle and supplement recommendations. These mainly target stress, nutrition, sleep, environment, and exercise. 

But as promising as it sounds, it’s worth noting that some patients found the major diet and work adjustments challenging. Others felt the $1,500 to $7,000+ cost didn’t justify the limited progress over several months or the dismissive phone staff.  

Fortunately, Dr. Udell and his team of coaches and other doctors are known for being helpful, especially when scheduling follow-ups and addressing concerns.

Living Wellness Medical Center specializes in women’s health, hormone balancing, and pediatrics.

Their approach combines preventive care, wellness, and advanced treatments. So expect programs to include naturopathic evaluations or dietary counseling, alongside acupuncture, specialty labs, and other therapies. 

From the very first consultation through treatment planning and adjustments, many patients highlight the team’s knowledge and attentiveness. Add to that the symptom relief experienced over time. 

Special mentions often go to Dr. Turner, a licensed general family practitioner and “Top Doctor” in Phoenix Magazine. Naturopathic Doctor Kunselman, meanwhile, stood out to us for her work in women’s wellness.

Like the rest of the team, they check in after appointments—something that makes up for instances where plans or questions weren’t fully covered. 

We also like that Living Wellness makes it clear they are a cash-based practice, with new patient visits starting at $150 and follow-ups priced around $180. Other fees are typically discussed during initial contact.

One of the first things we noticed about Health for Life is that patients don’t come and go. Individuals and entire families alike stay long-term, trusting the practice with concerns such as perimenopause, children’s allergies, and hormone-related conditions. 

Health for Life’s loyalty is largely driven by the personable team. There’s founder and Naturopathic Doctor (ND) Tellier, known for her thorough and empowering consultations,  and caring, attentive Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD) Barraza. 

Both doctors apply traditional Western medicine and biohacking science within their naturopathic care. Meaning, personalized health plans may involve physical therapy, special blood draws, and diet and nutrition guidance. 

They also make expected fees clear from the outset. However, a few patients found them expensive, particularly the supplements, which were cheaper elsewhere.  

The upside is that appointments and scheduling are easy, thanks to an efficient and kind support staff. Phone interactions can sometimes feel unempathetic when making inquiries.

We first came across Enovative Wellness Center when founder and naturopathic physician Dr. Jones appeared on 12 News and ABC15 Arizona. His discussion on hormone health gave us a glimpse of his deep knowledge. 

Patients echo this, adding how he takes the time to explain everything while remaining laid-back and respectful.

Dr. Jones’s extensive medical training also enables him to offer peptide, IV, and hormone replacement therapies. These are part of tailored care plans that feature dietary and supplement recommendations. 

Starting with an initial consultation, followed by lab tests and performance reviews,  results have gone well for many. For instance, a postpartum mom saw steady improvements in energy and mood. 

On the downside, a few patients were put off by high fees and limited treatment options. 

It helps that customer service stays on top of things, promptly clarifying costs and relaying concerns to Dr. Jones for follow-ups.
