AZ Containers has been locally owned and operated since 2002. They offer heavy-duty steel boxes paired with personal, local service. 

I like that you can rent or buy anything from a compact ten-foot unit up to a massive forty-foot high-cube box.

That broad lineup is a big hit with contractors, many of whom opt for the forty-foot models featuring rare six-foot roll-up side doors for quick tool access. 

Security and budget are well taken care of, too. Rental units come equipped with built-in shielded lockboxes to deter break-ins on busy job sites. 

Also, flexible rent-to-own programs keep a durable container friendly on the wallet.

The downside is that their rental units only come in a standard neutral desert paint color, so you won’t have the option to pick a custom shade.

We moved our business and needed some extra storage space. AZ Containers made it so easy! Pro Box Portable Storage stands out to me because the rental rate stays locked in for the entire lease. That can make budgeting much easier when you need a container on a jobsite for an extended period.

Security is another strong point. The corrugated steel units use a patented multi-point locking system with internal security bars and heavy puck locks. 

The metal framing is also designed to resist warping in the desert heat. There are seven different sizes and floor layouts, so you have plenty of options.

I also like the prorated rent if you return the unit within the first week of a billing cycle after finishing early. 

The catch is the 4:00 PM weekday closing time.

Southwest Mobile Storage is a good option if you need something more customised than a standard storage container. The company has a large 90,000-square-foot facility where it builds modifications and rugged 14-gauge steel containers.

Security is a major focus too. Their rentals feature vault-grade setups with extended lockboxes and slide bolts. 

You can also add insulated walls, electrical hookups, or extra doors. Combo office-and-storage units are another useful option.

Additionally, I like that you can create a setup that works for your crew. 

The dedicated sales rep is also a nice touch since you don’t have to keep explaining your needs to different call centre staff. 

I’m just note a big fan of the 3% credit card fee on container purchases over $1,000.

Sun Pac Storage Containers stands out to me for its family-owned approach and more than forty years of regional experience. Their lease fleet uses a consistent desert tan colour, which can blend in well around homes and ranches.

I also like the flexibility in their inventory. You can choose between brand-new units and inspected used containers. 

They offer quick delivery across the Valley, and staff can send photos of a specific unit before you buy it. That’s useful if you want to know exactly what you’re getting

Another interesting option is their heavy-gauge steel canopies. These can span between two containers to create a shaded and protected workspace in the heat.

It’s just a bummer that you can’t simply walk into the yard to browse. Visits require an advance phone appointment, so you’ll need to arrange a time beforehand.
