Gawley Plastic Surgery is headed by board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. Bryan Gawley and Dr. Jennifer Geoghegan, who both have a combined experience of almost 50 years.

Additionally, both doctors have extensive backgrounds in the medical field, including cancer treatments and microbiology. We won’t go further into detail but thankfully their full resumes can be accessed through their website.

They’re also routinely recognized as Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doctors for their expertise in cosmetic enhancements and reconstructive surgery. Among their areas of concern are breast surgery, body contouring, and facial care.

They also have a variety of procedures specifically for men such as gynecomastia surgery, blepharoplasty, and daddy makeovers. It helps that they have a library of proven work in every procedure to help us get a sense of their capabilities.

In terms of patient care, we heard they’re very conscientious and have their clients’ best interests in mind. This put them at ease going under the knife, and you wouldn’t have to worry about upselling.

We like that they’re scrupulous down to the smallest details and review the procedures repeatedly with patients. Their staff isn’t any different, and put their best effort into making your visit a comfortable one.

It’s also worth noting that they founded the Unicorn Philanthropy, raising money and donating them to local charities across the valley. Dr. Geoghegan herself actively advocates for breast cancer awareness through her medical abilities. 

Then again, we heard some complaints about botched results in terms of breast surgeries and facial procedures. This may be a cause for concern even if it doesn’t directly involve gynecomastia.

There have also been complaints about delayed and no-show appointments, which could be frustrating, especially for those who’ve traveled far. 

Dr. William M. Jacobsen has been practicing in his private clinic since 1994, making him one of the valley’s longest-running plastic surgeons. Healing is their utmost priority, which goes hand-in-hand with fantastic and attainable results for patients.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Jacobsen has done over 20,000 treatments, both surgically and non-invasive. He also has years of valuable experience in medicine, pharmacy, and general surgery to boot.

Their clinicians are also some of the most accommodating staff we’ve seen around, and it apparently doesn’t take too long to schedule an appointment. Their facilities also have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which we found comforting.

His method of gynecomastia surgery involves a small incision at the edge of the nipple instead of under the breast, which yields a cleaner-looking outcome. However, they don’t have other techniques to offer as far as we’ve seen.

Despite being a seasoned expert, we heard a lot of reports about failing to respond to post-op issues. Follow-up care is as essential as any other part of the process, so we seriously hope they improve in this area.

Another downside is that they often don’t spend a lot of time with patients during consultations based on what we’ve seen. This could leave patients feeling unheard and lower their confidence and trust in the practice.

They’re also not offering financing plans, but have a long list of insurance companies in their roster. This covers all their services, plus they help verify eligibility, which is great.

Dr. Jonathan Weinrach opened his eponymous clinic in 2006 after years of studying medicine and molecular biology, as well as training post-doctoral. He dedicates himself to high-quality care and establishing a good rapport with patients.

These are likely the reasons why his clinic has steadily grown over the years, not to mention the long list of achievements detailed on his profile. We were also impressed to learn about his double board certification in plastic surgery and general surgery.

His specialties include breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction in both women and men. We’re optimistic since gynecomastia surgery is one of his strongest suits.

Upon visiting his company’s website, we were pleased with the wealth of information on the procedures and the steps involved in the process. 

These are also written in a way that is easy to comprehend for the normal person and serves as a nifty guide for prospects and patients. 

Patients recount having the most comfortable experiences under their care, plus their concerns are always met with detailed responses. We also appreciate their no-nonsense approach without the unnecessary sales pitch.

So far, we haven’t heard of any adverse results, which is a good sign. A couple of patients were blown away by the clean and unnoticeable scars from the treatment, which we love.

Furthermore, the doctors won’t hesitate to suspend the surgery if patients feel unsure or uncomfortable in the slightest. 

Unfortunately, they’re not in network with any insurance company, which is something to consider.

Some others have also gone through a long wait before getting scheduled for an appointment. Still, we think it’s worth the wait for the quality of service you’re getting in return.

Elite Plastic Surgery is one of the most sought-after clinics providing plastic surgery in Phoenix, after only opening its doors in 2015. This is largely attributed to their compassion-driven approach coupled with the latest technology in the market.

The clinic is also family-owned and -operated by brothers Dr. Rozbeh and Dr. Radbeh Torabi, which is something we don’t see often. They’re also some of the valley’s most distinguished experts in their field.

Both of their medical backgrounds are diverse and nothing short of remarkable from what we’ve seen. Dr. Rozbeh is board-certified in both plastic and general surgery while Dr. Radbeh has been involved in clinical research for transplantation and surgery.

Aside from the ABPS, they’re also board-certified by the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM), which boosts our confidence in their work. They also have the widest range of treatments on offer out of all the clinics we’ve evaluated.

Before undergoing gynecomastia surgery, patients would need to be screened based on a list of qualifying factors like good health and stable weight. Along with an in-depth consultation with the doctors, this ensures the best possible results.

Moreover, they’re honest if it seems that the procedure would have any adverse effects on the patient for any reason. Because of this, they may decline a patient altogether which could be disappointing for some.

Still, this is done out of due diligence and we honestly think they have your best interests at heart.

On another note, some first consultation visits appear to be rushed for some because of unforeseen delays on the part of the doctor. This could be frustrating since the patients may not feel they are making the most of what they’re paying for the appointment.

Dr. Carlos Mata has performed thousands of procedures all over Boston, Miami, and Houston before finally settling in Arizona. Here, he established Natural Results Plastic Surgery which has become a go-to for locals.

His medical background is also as diverse, with training in children’s hospitals and a stint with the military serving wounded warriors with his surgical skills. He’s also had his post-doctoral at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

So far, we’re impressed with everything he carries in his arsenal. His clinic offers a full line of cosmetic procedures but we learned that he’s particularly skilled with facial treatments and breast augmentation, lifts, and reduction surgeries.

We like that he has a gallery abundant with before and after photos, which features different patients from all backgrounds. This is helpful, especially for prospects who are comparing results among their choices of clinics.

This also gives us enough of a glimpse of his work on gynecomastia surgeries. He uses a Vasor liposuction and a one-stitch method, which is a minimally invasive approach that produces discreet scars and overall natural-looking results.

Because of this, the clinic has seen a wave of out-of-state patients just to be in their care, which says a lot about their caliber. 

Furthermore, they also have a variety of financing programs on offer, including a layaway plan starting at 9 months. Insurance is also available for non-cosmetic surgeries, particularly for breast cancer patients.

Heads up though, because we heard it gets pretty busy in the clinic and the phone rep receives a lot of inquiries per day. Expect to wait a while before anyone can come back to you, which could last for weeks on end.
