Top 5 Window Repair Services in Phoenix

How We Chose the Best Window Repair Services in Phoenix

Scope of Services

We considered companies that repaired wide varieties of windows. Also, we looked into whether or not these companies allowed simple glass repairs, or if they only repair full windows with frames.

Professionalism

It was important for us to take into account how competent and capable their technicians are.

Availability

We understand that some customers need urgent repairs, so we looked into their availability to take on rush jobs.

Value for Money

This was a non-negotiable for us as we wanted to consider those that offered quality of product and of service.

Customer Service

As usual, we always take into account customer service. We based this on their responsiveness, staff demeanor, and punctuality.

  • Open daily and can accommodate same-day appointments
  • Provides upfront and relatively affordable pricing
  • Repairs a wide variety of window types
  • Technicians are background checked, licensed, bonded, and insured

Cons

  • Glass quality is just okay

The thing about Sunny State Glass is that they have a reputation for quick, efficient work. They’re one of your best bets if you need to get those window cracks fixed ASAP.

It seems that you can call them early in the morning and someone will be over by noon (even on weekends!). And by the end of day, you’ll have sparkling-new windows.

What we like about them is how straightforward they are. No fuss, no upselling – they’ll provide you with upfront pricing and just honest insight on the scope of repair needed.

On top of that, they have pretty reasonable rates. They have one of the lowest service fees around, which is always a big plus in our book.

They also repair a wide variety of window types. And, they allow mere glass repairs if you don’t want your whole window replaced – note that they’re not the best quality out there, but they’re also not the worst.

Dwayne seems to receive a lot of love from their customers as he’s often mentioned to be extremely professional. We’ve heard that he’s quite knowledgeable, prompt, and very personable, too.

All their technicians are strictly background checked, licensed, bonded, and insured. And, they don’t hire subcontractors; everyone comes from them directly to ensure that the quality of service truly gets across.

Pros

  • Family-owned and -operated since 1974
  • Rated A+ by the BBB and AAMA-certified for residential and light commercial installations
  • Able to customize glass
  • Skilled in finding even the most rare window parts

Cons

  • Reports of instances when repairs took longer than expected
  • Relatively slow to respond to inquiries
  • Closed on weekends

When it comes to window or glass repair in general, Bunker’s Glass knows their way around. They’re a family-owned and -operated company that has been serving Phoenix since 1974.

Good customer service is one of the things they’re known for. In fact, they’re rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau and is AAMA-certified for residential and light commercial installations.

Their technicians are well-trained and equipped to replace glass in single pane or dual pane windows. And, we’ve heard that they’re quite handy in finding parts for even the most rare window types.

Apparently, they’re also incredibly professional and friendly. It seems that customers like them for being prompt and respectful of their serviced homes.

We like, too, that they’re able to customize glass and window panes. Should you decide to go for a new look, they can help you out.

Note, though, that their services are relatively more expensive. However, you’re getting quality of service and product, so we do think that they’re worth the splurge.

An issue that we think they could work on is sticking to deadlines. It appears that there are some instances when the repairs took longer than what was initially quoted.

They’re also relatively slow to respond to inquiries. Some clients have had to make several follow-up calls just to get information that they needed.

Pros

  • Family-owned and -operated since 1973
  • Rated A+ by the BBB
  • Able to customize and cut glass on the spot
  • Works fast and efficiently

Cons

  • Repairs are limited to single pane and dual pane windows
  • Rates are relatively more expensive
  • Closed on weekends

ABC Glass Company was bought in 1973 by husband and wife, Dennis and Lori Rusk. Since then, they have been providing window repairs and specialty glass to customers across the valley.

They’re rated A+ by the BBB, too, so you can be assured that they’re top-notch when it comes to customer service and business management.

While they provide a wide scope of glass services, their window repair services are limited to just single pane and dual pane types. We find those to be the two most common window types.

However, the good thing is that they can customize glass according to your window needs. Whether it’s curved or you want something thicker, they will work with you on what you had in mind.

Their main edge is that they can do glass cuttings on the spot. They’re exceptionally good at what they do and they’re able to take accurate measurements every time.

This makes the repair process quick and efficient. Their customers seem to love how surprisingly fast they’re able to finish the repairs.

It’s probably for these reasons why their customers don’t mind paying a premium. So if you’re on a tight budget, they may not be the guys for you.

Pros

  • Actively involved in the local community
  • Has an expansive showroom
  • Repairs a variety of window types in all sizes
  • Allows just glass replacements

Cons

  • Reports of unhelpful and dismissive staff members
  • Closed on weekends

We always appreciate it when a business is actively involved in the local community. SR Windows and Glass is no exception.

They’re a family-owned and -operated business that specializes in window repair and glass replacements. And from what we’ve heard, they provide superb glass quality, too.

It seems that their materials are all locally-sourced and they’re keen on hiring locally, too. It adds a sort of a community spirit and familiarity that their customers appreciate a lot.

What we like about them is how varied their window repair services are. Apart from repairing a good scope of window types, they’re also able to handle any size of window that you have.

Their showroom is quite expansive as well. You can come visit and take your pick among their available windows if you’re up to it.

They allow just glass replacements, too, which we appreciate because it saves customers big bucks. And for single pane windows, they’ll measure and cut the glass on-site.

Dual panes are a bit more complicated, though, so it usually takes them longer to repair. Even sealing it is pretty meticulous, so expect a bit of wait.

Unfortunately, we have heard of instances when some of their staff members aren’t as helpful as one would like. We do hope they look into this and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Pros

  • Has been around since 1999
  • Relatively affordable prices
  • Technicians are said to be courteous and professional
  • Upfront pricing and doesn’t overcharge

Cons

  • Few reports of minor delays in the repair process
  • Closed on weekends

Window and Glass Pros has been around since 1999 and they’ve established a good reputation for themselves. They’re known to provide simple, no fuss window repairs and glass replacements.

What’s more is that they’re able to offer these services at relatively affordable prices. This is probably because they manufacture their own glass – and we’ve heard that they’re of good quality as well.

Pat, the owner, is a sweet lady and is very hands-on in the business. Apparently, she often answers the calls and patiently answers queries or concerns herself.

Their technicians are also said to be courteous and professional. It seems that they’re able to assess the scope of repairs well and aren’t in the habit of overcharging or upselling.

These are always green flags in our book, because you know that they value honesty. We give them major props for that.

However, if you’re in need of a rush job, they may not be one of your optimal choices. We’ve heard that some customers experienced some minor delays in the repair process.

It’s all good, though, because it appears that the technicians and office staff are quite apologetic and communicative with what’s going on.

Putting that aside, we still think they’d be a solid choice if you ever need to get a window repaired.
