Where to Find the Best Workers’ Compensation Lawyers in Phoenix
How We Chose the Best Workers’ Compensation Lawyers in Phoenix
Licenses, credentials, and a good track record are all green indicators of a good lawyer, so we took this into consideration.
We also looked into recognitions or awards that these firms received in the industry. This makes potential clients more confident in their capabilities.
It was important for us to take into account their specialization and experience in representing workers comp cases.
The lawyers’ work attitude, professionalism, demeanors, as well as ease of communication were all factors that we considered here.

Throughout their years of service, they have represented thousands of workers and have handled almost (if not all) every type of injury, securing over millions of dollars of injury insurance benefits.
Their firm is composed of an expert team of attorneys with a combined work and legal experience of over 100 years. And from what we’ve heard, they’re a capable and helpful bunch.
Atty. Brian Weekley, in particular, is often mentioned by their previous clients to be a lawyer that you’d love to work with. It appears that he genuinely sympathizes with his clients and doesn’t make them feel as though they’re just another case.
As a partner in the firm, Atty. Weekley practices the area of workers’ compensation exclusively. He became a Certified Specialist in 1998 and is recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.
While awards and recognitions add a great sense of confidence, we like that he and his colleagues are known to be professionals who put their clients’ best interests first.
Because of the quality of service they provide, their prices also play on the higher end.
We also heard that they can be quite selective of their clients. However, they are accommodating in providing free consultations and setting appointments to see if they’ll be a good fit to take on your case.
2. Matt Fendon Law Group

- Specialized legal knowledge in workplace matters
- Widely-recognized team of lawyers
- Guaranteed 24-hour response time for current clients
- Able to communicate in a variety of languages
- For first-time clients, it may take several phone calls to get a hold of someone
- Reports of their service reps needing better training in phone etiquette
Since 2008, Matt Fendon Law Group has dedicated themselves to fighting for the rights of workers who have incurred injuries on their jobs and fell victim to unfair labor practices.
Their specialized legal knowledge in workplace matters has made them a sought-after law firm.
Atty. Matt Fendon, their founding attorney, is a board-certified specialist in workers’ compensation law. He’s known to be hands-on and incredibly supportive of both his team and their clients.
Their team’s dedication has also earned them several prestigious recognitions – including Super Lawyers in Arizona and being named in the Top 40 Under 40 list by The National Trial Lawyers.
What clients love about them is their camaraderie. From what we’ve heard, their lawyers work together like a well-oiled machine to figure out the best way to win their cases.
On top of that, they treat every client like a member of their family. It’s for this reason that clients feel at ease around them and confident that they are in capable hands.
Their clients also appreciate how easy it is to get in touch with them. Once their firm represents you, you’re guaranteed a response to any inquiry within 24 hours.
Since they represent a diverse client base, we like the fact that they’re able to communicate in a variety of languages including English, Spanish, French, Turkish, Syrian, and Arabic.
While they’re responsive to current clients, it seems that potential clients have a harder time reaching them as it takes several phone calls just to get a hold of someone.
What’s more is there are reports of their service reps needing better training in phone etiquette. Apparently, some of them are not accommodating and hangs up on clients.
We sincerely hope they improve client service and relations. First impressions matter a great deal, after all.
3. Cruz & Associates
Areas of Practice: Workers’ Compensation, Vehicle Accidents, Personal Injury Claims, Social Security Disability
Address: 1212 E Osborn Rd Phoenix, AZ 85014
Contact Number: (602) 777-6666
Business hours: Open 24/7
- Largely caters to the Hispanic community
- Fully-bilingual staff (Spanish and English)
- Open 24/7 to answer queries
- Could work on being more diligent in giving case updates
- Small team that can handle a relatively smaller case load
Cruz & Associates was founded on the owner’s commitment to protect the rights of his community over 25 years ago.
Atty. Ruben Cruz is the son of Cuban immigrants who foresaw the growth of the Hispanic community in Atlanta and Phoenix. Hence, he decided to open the firm and provide the best legal representation with a fully-bilingual staff.
With a small but mighty team of nine attorneys, they specialize in workers’ compensation and personal injury law. However, this also means they can handle a relatively smaller case load at a time.
Ultimately, their goal is to restore their clients’ physical and financial health. This entails understanding the situation and coming up with a plan to secure them the maximum compensation and medical care they deserve.
We have heard that they’re not as diligent in giving case updates as clients need to follow up often, but they do respond as soon as they can.
A major part of being a lawyer is being able to balance professionalism and sympathy – and that’s what they provide.
It seems that clients love how level-headed they are. We’ve heard a lot about their patience and professionalism, as well as their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients.
We also appreciate that they’re available to answer queries 24/7. And they accommodate meetings at home, in the hospital, or wherever it’s convenient for the client, in case they’re unable to travel.
4. Phillips Law Group
Areas of Practice: Personal Injury, Product Liability, Negligence, Workplace

Business hours: Open 24/7
- One of the largest consumer law firms in Arizona
- Branded as experienced, efficient, and aggressive attorneys
- Affordable legal fees, no upfront costs, and payment is only required upon recovery or settlement
- Good track record for workers’ comp cases, but it’s not their specialty
- Not as responsive to inquiries and queries, even though they’re open 24/7
One of the biggest consumer law firms in Arizona is Phillips Law Group. They have a wide scope of practice areas and specialize in personal injuries, but they have a good track record with workers’ compensation cases, too.
They like to brand themselves as experienced, efficient, and aggressive attorneys who will get you the best compensation possible.
While it sounds intimidating, they are the opposite of just that. Their clients love their sensitive approach to each case and their dedication to get it resolved as soon as they can.
We also appreciate that there are no upfront costs with them. They offer free, no-obligation reviews of potential clients’ claims and only require payment upon recovery or settlement.
Not only is this incredibly considerate of them, but we find it helpful to clients who are already suffering from physical ailments and financial woes. We give them props for that.
On top of that, their legal fees are relatively affordable and they offer a wide variety of payment methods. The first consultation visit is apparently free, too.
We only wish that they’d work on being more reachable, as we’ve heard that they’re not as responsive as clients would like them to be.
5. Schiffman Law
Areas of Practice: Social Security Disability, Long Term Disability, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith
Address: 4506 N 12th Street Phoenix, AZ 85014
Contact Number: (602) 266-2667
- Monday to Thursday 8:30AM–5PM
- Friday 8:30–3PM
- Saturday to Sunday CLOSED
- Comprehensive firm that can provide coordinated assistance for multiple claims
- Has been in business since 1975
- Contingency-based payment; no fees unless they win you benefits
- A few hidden fees and “request fees”
- Takes relatively longer to process cases
What we like about Schiffman Law is they’re a comprehensive law firm focused exclusively on injury or disability claims.
Whether that involves solely one claim or coordinated assistance in SSDI or SSI, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, Long Term Disability, ERISA or Insurance Bad Faith, they are more than capable to help.
They’ve been around since 1975, so as far as experts go, they have a proven track record in fighting insurance companies and complicated government systems.
Another thing we love about them is that they protect your rights on a contingency basis – meaning, no fees will be incurred unless they win you benefits. We find this super helpful and considerate of them.
We’d like to point out, though, that there are some reports of hidden fees and “request fees,” so just take note of that when you consult with them.
Their attorneys are dedicated to handling your case from the first call to the resolution of the matter. And we hear that they are efficient, diligent, and hard workers.
Not only do they employ experienced lawyers and supportive legal assistants, they also have State Bar of Arizona-certified specialists to handle your workers’ comp cases.
A downside that we’ve often heard, unfortunately, is that they take their time reviewing cases so the process is relatively longer.
All things considered, we still think they’re a solid choice for when you need to avail their services.
