The 5 Best Coworking Spaces in Phoenix

The 7 Best Coworking Spaces in Phoenix

How We Picked the Best Coworking Spaces in Phoenix

Office design

The space must be an equal balance of convenience, good atmosphere, and functionality.

Amenities

Aside from the space itself, you must also have access to well-maintained restrooms, snacks, and fast internet.

Pricing

To make working in the area sustainable, their rates must be reasonable and well-justified for its amenities. We also prefer those which give discounts and package deals.

Access

Here, we took their opening hours, location accessibility, and parking spaces into account. Through this, we discovered how many workers they can accommodate.

Pros

  • Promotes diversity
  • Spacious and modern office
  • Friendly for starting entrepreneurs
  • Has good membership perks

Cons

  • Crowded during peak hours

CO+HOOTS was founded in 2010 and has since housed more than 280 clients. Their main business philosophy is to promote business incubation and support communities of color.

One of their notable features is the Rapid Launch system, which is a virtual boot camp that can help new businesses create a brand. This makes the coworking space a good choice for starting entrepreneurs.

Their Phoenix branch has a very modern and spacious aesthetic. Its amenities include flex desks, designated desks, and podcast studios, which are of top-notch quality.

We also like how they aim to promote having an office community that continuously learns about business. This is seen through their weekly educational programming and community events.

The membership perks they offer are plenty and compatible with different needs, such as graphic design, cloud services, and ridesharing. This is made possible through their collaborations with Brex, Design Pickle, and Amazon.

In terms of pricing plans, their fees are mid-range. Their most basic package called Flex (priced at $99 monthly) provides adequate amenities and access to conference rooms.

The only downside is that the space has many clients and is often crowded during peak hours.

2. The Department

Pros

  • Very large space
  • Convenient location
  • Offers many office setup choices
  • Complete amenities

Cons

  • Has issues with accommodating day pass guests

The Department is one of the largest coworking spaces in Phoenix, at 46,000 square feet and seven floors. They’ve been featured by multiple media outlets such as AZCentral, AZ Tech Beat, and TechAz.

They offer plenty of choices for spaces, including offices, dedicated desks, team suites, and flex memberships. We like their office setup in particular because it contains many amenities and space for $600 per month.

In terms of amenities, they offer plenty, including unlimited coffee and tea, an onsite hospitality team, 1GB of internet, and more.

We also like their virtual membership option which gives you a legitimate business address for $75. With access to mail service and conference rooms, the price is justified.

Their location in Downtown Phoenix is also very accessible by car and by bus. The building used to be the Korrick Department Store, which is why it’s convenient to access.

A downside is that some customers have negative experiences with setting up a day pass with them. This is because of inconvenient elevator rules and security measures that are unfriendly to temporary guests.

  • Well-equipped podcast room
  • Abundant features for office packages

Cons

  • Private offices are pricey

Workuity is notable for their premier amenities, which includes micro-roasted coffee, business-class printers, and well-equipped conference rooms.

We found the office’s design to be relaxed and spacious. It’s also complete in terms of your needs, may it be for phone calls, state conferences, or public spaces.

Members have easy access to announcements through the member portal on their website. It’s well-designed for accessing daily updates.

Their podcast room is notable for its complete equipment, including a production board, microphones, headphones, and monitors.

We also like their flexible day office package because of its abundant features. This includes corporate branding, complimentary beverages, and printing services.

A downside is that their rates are quite pricey, especially if you will rent a private office.

  • Unique SmartSuites system
  • Offers plenty of storage rooms
  • Excellent collaboration spaces

Cons

  • Difficulty in getting parking spots

Expansive caters to well-known brands such as Starbucks, Coca-Cola, and Mastercard, which is why they’re well-known in the area.

We like how flexible they are in terms of accommodation. Their choices include flex, long-term, on-demand, and virtual office setups.

They also have one of the largest spaces we’ve seen. This allows them to provide storage deals for office inventories, files, and equipment.

Through the SmartSuites system, they can accommodate companies that want biometric keyless systems, personalized office design, and a personal kitchen.

In particular, their Collaboration Spaces also stand out because of their features like coffee bars, catering space, break-out rooms, and movable whiteboards.

They also have a lovely view of the city.

The only issue with them is that many clients have experienced difficulty in getting parking spots in the area.

5. The Grid.Works

Pros

  • Artist-inspired conference rooms
  • Complete amenities
  • Plenty of space
  • Spacious industrial design

Cons

  • Pricey

The Grid.Works stands out for its expansive office space and sleek industrial design, situated conveniently close to a plethora of noteworthy Uptown Phoenix restaurants. Whether you’re commuting by car or public transport, accessibility is a plus.

Their subscription options cater to diverse preferences, whether you fancy a reserved desk, a floating setup, or a classroom arrangement. The hot seat option, often praised, is a hit due to the abundance of available spaces. Combined with perks like storage lockers and conference room credits, it’s no wonder this choice is a crowd-pleaser.

Complete amenities abound, including phone rooms, printers, coffee bars, and inviting break rooms. What truly sets them apart is their inspired conference rooms, paying homage to artists like KAWS, Fairey, Lichtenstein, Basquiat, and Banksy. These unique spaces are not only visually stimulating but also well-equipped.

Moreover, Grid.Works is breaking boundaries with its 24/7 accessibility, a recent expansion underscoring their commitment to providing a dynamic workspace. The move from coworking and offices into diverse areas like media production location shoots and unconventional events adds a fascinating layer to their story.

In light of recent setbacks for national chain coworking spaces like WeWork, particularly with closures in Phoenix, the discussion around supporting local coworking spaces gains relevance. Grid.Works emerges as a resilient and innovative choice in a landscape where attention-grabbing chains come and go.

However, it’s worth noting that such quality comes at a price, with their packages ranking among the higher end, starting at $130 per month for the basic plan.

We like that their spaces are fully furnished and full-stocked with complimentary beverages and snacks that clients can enjoy when staying with them along with other amenities to make the whole stay with them much more comfortable and progressive.

Geared toward helping startup businesses to better bolster their progress and services with their versatile offices and memberships, interested clients can easily book their slot readily on their website.

Note though that there are slot limitations for each of their services and it might not be able to accommodate large groups of people since they are focused more on accommodating small businesses.

Overall, with their plethora of helpful and high-tech amenities, expertly furnished and designed spaces, usage of next-generation software and technologies, we highly recommend them for business owners to check them out.

Pros

  • Various membership packages available
  • Best for businesses and nonprofit organizations
  • Accessible price point
  • Great atmosphere and environment

Cons

  • Closed on weekends

One other great co-working space that we think is worth looking into is ignite sparked by BBB!

It’s a modern coworking space designed for both entrepreneurs and small business owners who are located in Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, and San Diego, CA.

Their spaces are filled with a diverse group of individuals with a common goal of building better businesses and nonprofit organizations.

What we like about their shared spaces is how it fosters an environment of collaboration and community collisions.

They’re also made of a team of five star hospitality experts that provide exceptional services and amenities at an accessible price point, which we love.

One thing we also think is great about them is how they donate a day pass to a nonprofit organization in need of space for every day pass that’s purchased.

We like that they have different options that can fit and cater to individual needs. They have a day pass, spark pass, 24/7 coworking pass, and startup desk.

We find the atmosphere of the place to be great and bright. Conducive to being productive for sure!

We highly recommend!
