5 Best Firms with Estate Lawyers in Phoenix That Take the Stress Out of Planning

  • Legal Expertise: I evaluated each firm's background and specific focus on handling wills, trusts, and probate matters. This helps ensure your attorney possesses the deep knowledge required to navigate complex inheritance laws smoothly.

  • Client Communication: I prioritized lawyers who explain things using simple, straightforward terms instead of burying you under a mountain of complex legal jargon. Being able to easily talk with your legal team makes a stressful process much more comfortable.

  • Pricing Structure: I checked whether these practices offer clear upfront flat fees or traditional hourly billing options. Transparent pricing prevents unexpected financial surprises when it comes time to pay your final legal bill.

  • Peer Reputation: I looked at how well these professionals are respected within the broader local legal community. High ratings from fellow attorneys point toward a strong track record of professional ethics and courtroom skill.

Planning for the future may not sound exciting, but it can bring real peace of mind once everything’s in order.

Whether you want to protect your home, savings, or loved ones, finding the right estate lawyer in Phoenix can make the process much less stressful.

A skilled attorney can explain your options clearly, help with wills or probate, and ensure your wishes are carried out exactly as you’ve intended.

To help you get started, I looked into local firms to find trusted, approachable legal pros who can confidently support families. Read on to know your options!

Address: 3030 N 3rd St Suite 770

Contact: (602) 230-1234

Hours: Mon to Sun: Open 24 hours

Starting the estate planning process can feel pretty intimidating, but Kamper & Estrada makes it less overwhelming.

The firm is a multi-generational professional limited liability company that brings over 45 years of combined experience and a top-tier peer-review rating in legal ethics.

Overall, their track record and experience add a sense of confidence, especially for something as personal as securing assets and preparing for family needs.

It’s also easy to appreciate their warm, family-first approach. When speaking with one of their legal assistants, they’re patient while explaining how they help protect assets.

The main trade-off is that they also handle personal injury cases, so this option may not feel like a hyper-focused estate planning boutique.

Pros

  • Over 45 years combined legal experience
  • Strong legal ethics peer review rating
  • Warm, family-first client service approach
  • Patient legal assistants explain asset protection

Cons

  • Not focused only on estate planning

Customer Reviews

Excellent experience

I chose Kamper Estrada because of the online reviews and they have a location nearby.  We had them make our estate plan.  Excellent experience!  The attorney clearly explained what we needed to create our living trust and the advantages of some decisions versus other decisions.

We met first to review our wishes.  Later we got the document by email which allowed us a couple of weeks to review before meeting again with the attorney to sign.  We would recommend Kamper Estrada to our friends and in fact, we already have!

Mr. Estrada helped us choose a path that was right for us

My husband and I went to Kamper Estrada to do our estate planning. We worked with attorney Estrada and could not be happier with our service. We really had no idea what we needed or how the process worked. Mr. Estrada helped us choose a path that was right for us and walked us through every step. Mr. Estrada and his team made the process so easy for us, it was a great experience. We highly recommend Kamper Estrada, LLP.

2. ISRAEL & GERITY, PLLC

Address: 202 E Earll Dr Ste 440

Contact: (602) 274-4400 | (833) 274-4400 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon to Sun: Open 24 hours

Israel & Gerity stood out to me because they don’t make estate planning feel like a one-size-fits-all process.

Their team has been around since 2002, and I can see why other attorneys often refer clients to them. They seem especially useful for families dealing with more complex situations, such as protecting wealth or sorting through a complex out-of-state probate.

I also like that the firm offers free initial evaluations, so you can ask questions before committing.

That said, they aren’t a purely estate-focused firm. They also handle civil litigation, which means their attention is spread across several practice areas.

Estate work is largely tied to the founding partners, too, which may be worth thinking about if you want long-term trust support decades from now.

Pros

  • Personalized estate planning, not one-size-fits-all
  • Free initial evaluations before committing
  • Useful for complex probate situations
  • Often referred by other attorneys

Cons

  • Estate work depends on founding partners

Customer Reviews

They both listen and act upon your thoughts and questions

If you need estate planning legal guidance, I strongly recommend Israel and Gerity.  Michael Garity and Lisa Hudson, his paralegal, are an outstanding team.  Michael is aware of every legal possibility under the sun.  They both listen and act upon your thoughts and questions.  There is no detail that goes unanswered or unnoticed.  You and your heirs will be forever grateful.

Highly recommend

I would highly recommend this law firm to anyone looking for a thorough and well thought out estate plan. Mike, Lisa, and the office’s staff have been exceptional in helping my grandmother and I put together her estate plan. Planning for the future inevitables and putting everything together and legally protected is not an easy process on your own. This process has been simplified by Mike’s legal expertise and Lisa’s incredible communication, as they have held our hand all the way.

Address: 706 E. Bell Rd Suite 126

Contact: 602 635 6176

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00AM–4:00PM | Friday 8:00AM–12:00PM

The Nicole Pavlik Law Firm is a great choice for those who want to simplify the estate planning process from home.

The firm operates as a virtual-first service, but they still maintain a local Phoenix office for those moments when you need to sign paperwork in person.

You’ll work directly with Nicole Pavlik instead of being passed between assistants, which makes sensitive conversations feel much more personal.

I also found their custom audio guides particularly useful, as they explain drafted documents in a much less intimidating way.

Their flat-fee pricing is another big plus because you’ll know the total cost upfront.

Just know that since Nicole is based in Tennessee, most of your interactions will happen online. The 15% educator and military discounts are also nice touches, though keep in mind they only apply to full planning packages.

Pros

  • Virtual-first estate planning from home
  • Local Phoenix office for signings
  • Direct access to Nicole Pavlik
  • Clear flat-fee pricing upfront
  • Custom audio guides explain documents

Cons

  • Most meetings are online
  • Discounts only apply to full packages

Customer Reviews

Very happy with the services

My husband and I are very happy with the services we received from Nicole and her team. We were looking for a Phoenix estate planning attorney, and Nicole addressed everything we were hoping to accomplish. The process from start to finish was made stress-free due to Nicole’s streamlined approach. Our bank was very pleased with how clear the certification of trust was, and said many are not like this. He told us we had a great lawyer, and we agree! Would definitely recommend hiring Nicole for your estate planning needs.

Welcoming and inclusive

Nicole Pavlik Law Firm (based in Phoenix AZ) is incredibly helpful for organizing your family’s estate plan!  We very much appreciated that Nicole, Shannon, and Linda are welcoming and inclusive.  That is rare to find these days.  They answered our additional questions and provided follow up to ensure that our trust was being funded.  I would recommend this team to anyone needing an estate plan.  Thank you again!

4. LAW OFFICES OF PAULA HANNAH, PLC

Website: paulahannahlaw.com

Address: 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 300

Contact: 602-922-4010 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30AM–5:00PM

The Law Offices of Paula Hannah is the kind of firm I’d consider if I wanted estate planning to feel calm, private, and personal.

Paula Hannah, the firm’s principal attorney, keeps her legal practice focused on estate and legacy matters, so it doesn’t come across as just another side service.

What stood out to me is that she avoids cookie-cutter templates and takes a counseling-style approach, which can be helpful when you’re sorting through sensitive decisions for your loved ones.

Her bundled trust and will packages also make the process easier to understand. It’s easy to see how that setup could lower your stress when you’re organizing your long-term wishes and inheritance details.

The catch is that this is a boutique solo office, so her calendar may fill up quickly. She also doesn’t handle related issues, such as custody disputes.

Pros

  • Dedicated solely to estate and legacy planning
  • Counseling-style approach avoids cookie-cutter templates
  • Helps make sensitive decisions feel calm, private, and personal
  • Bundled trust and will packages simplify the process
  • Reduces stress when organizing wishes and inheritance details

Cons

  • Boutique solo practice (calendar may fill up quickly)
  • Does not handle related issues like custody disputes

Customer Reviews

She made sure I felt comfortable and answered all the questions I had with patience

My estate planning experience was much easier than I had anticipated due to the professionalism and detailed service from Paula.  She made sure I felt comfortable and answered all the questions I had with patience.  I feel as though a weight has been lifted as I now have a plan in place for my family that will make it as simple as can be.

Very organized, meticulous, thorough, and kind

We worked with Paula to create a Living Trust. Paula walked us through the entire process during an initial meeting and made sure our every question was answered, which was great since we knew little about how Living Trusts are written. We felt incredibly secure and comfortable with Paula handling our estate planning and know she has ensured everything is properly set up for our future. She was very organized, meticulous, thorough, and kind. It was a pleasure working with her and we’d come back to her immediately if the need ever arose.

5. PayneLess Law

payneless-law

Website: paynelesslaw.com

Address: 2111 E. Highland Ave., Ste. 235

Contact: 480-420-7199

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00AM–6:00PM

PayneLess Law is a good match for families who want estate planning explained in a direct, human way.

Christopher Payne founded the firm after facing major family losses himself, so his approach feels more personal than stiff.

I also like that he brings over 30 years of legal experience, along with a strong trial and litigation background. That experience seems useful when planning for assets, family needs, and possible future disputes.

What stood out to me most is how the firm breaks down legal terms into plain English, making the process feel less scary.

The downside is their strict weekday schedule. Since they’re a smaller firm centered around one main attorney, appointment availability may be tighter.

Pros

  • Explains estate planning in plain English
  • Personal approach shaped by family loss
  • Over 30 years of legal experience
  • Strong trial and litigation background
  • Helpful for possible future disputes
  • Direct, human guidance for families

Cons

  • Strict weekday schedule limits flexibility
  • Smaller firm may mean tighter availability
