The 5 Best Firms with Wills Lawyer in Phoenix That Help You Plan with Clarity

  • Legal Specialization: I focused on firms that dedicate their practice strictly to estate planning and wills rather than general practice shops. This ensures you get an attorney who thoroughly understands the nuances of local Arizona probate regulations.

  • Pricing Transparency: I looked for professionals who offer clear, upfront flat fees or neatly bundled packages instead of surprising clients with hidden costs. Knowing exactly what you’ll pay from the start makes the entire legal process much less stressful.

  • Communication Style: I prioritized leaders who break down complex legal concepts into plain, everyday English instead of hiding behind confusing legalese. Clear communication ensures you actually understand every single document you’re signing.

  • Client-Centered Approach: I evaluated how well each firm listens to individual family dynamics and tailors their documents to unique situations. A great attorney should treat you like a real person, making you feel completely comfortable and never rushed.

Planning what happens to your assets after you’re gone can feel heavy, but it doesn’t have to be scary.

Whether you own a business or just want your wishes written clearly, finding the best wills lawyer in Phoenix can give you real peace of mind.

Arizona estate rules can be confusing, so having the right legal guide matters. That’s why I looked for local attorneys who are skilled, approachable, and easy to talk to.

Read on to know which of these firms can best support you and your family.

How much does a wills lawyer cost in Phoenix?

Wills lawyers in Phoenix generally charge between $300 and $1,500 for a simple to complex will, while fuller estate planning packages can range from $1,500 to $5,000.

The Law Offices of Paula Hannah stands out for keeping the process personal instead of making estate planning feel cold or rushed.

Address: 202 E Earll Dr Ste 440

Contact: (602) 274-4400 | (833) 274-4400 | [email protected]

Hours: Mon to Sun: Open 24 hours

Israel & Gerity stands out for being built for clients whose estate plans require more than a basic will. With over five decades of combined legal experience from the founders, the firm brings a steady hand to detailed planning needs.

It’s also worth noting that they handle complex special needs trusts and NFA gun trusts, which can be helpful for families with specific concerns.

From what I’ve gathered, their attorneys focus on drafting documents under state rules to help reduce confusion or family conflict later.

That said, be aware that their advertised contingency pricing applies to personal injury cases rather than estate planning. Additionally, keep in mind that even a properly written will must still go through county probate court.

Pros

  • Handles more than basic wills
  • Over five decades combined legal experience
  • Offers special needs trust planning
  • Drafts documents under state rules

Cons

  • Contingency pricing excludes will services
  • Wills still require probate court

We felt comfortable, and all of the anxiety went away

My husband and I went to see Mike Gerity to have a Will/Trust done. We procrastinated for a long time, as we had a lot of anxiety about what this would entail.  From the minute we walked in the door at this firm, we felt comfortable and all of the anxiety went away.  Mike and Lisa were so helpful and explained the process in a way that anyone would understand it.

Mike, Lisa and Alex turned a process that could’ve been stressful into a very pleasant experience.  We always walk out of there in great moods.

They quickly put us at ease by educating us

My wife and I had been talking about preparing a living will for quite some time, so we reached out to Israel & Gerity, PLLC to schedule a consultation. My wife was familiar with their practice from past work experience.

We met with Lisa Hudson and Mike Gerity to discuss our options, and they quickly put us at ease by educating us on the benefits of creating a living Will and Trust.

Wonderful to work with

Nicole and her staff were wonderful to work with when we redid our wills. They made everything so easy for us. Nicole is an excellent estate planning attorney here in Phoenix.  Every question was answered and advice given was great!! I would highly recommend this office for anything having to do with wills or trusts. My thanks to this entire office for their great job handling our will/trust!!

We had an excellent experience working with Nicole’s firm

We had an excellent experience working with Nicole’s firm on our wills and estate planning.  We were able to provide all our information online, and have conference calls to review details and discuss options.  Once we had documents to sign, we were able to safely go to Nicole’s offices to do that.  All the finalized documents were provided to us in both paper and electronic format. This could not have gone better.  We will definitely be using Nicole for any future legal needs!

Address: 2111 E. Highland Ave., Ste. 235

Contact: 480-420-7199

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00AM–6:00PM

PayneLess Law caught my attention because they connect estate planning with real probate and litigation experience.

Christopher Payne, the firm’s founder, has over three decades of legal work behind him, so he’s especially useful for those who want wills that are clear and harder to challenge later.

I also like that his team can help with heavier probate steps, including county filings and creditor claims, which can feel overwhelming after a loss.

Overall, this firm’s approach is practical for blended families or anyone who’s worried about future disputes.

That said, they keep strict weekday hours, so booking may be harder if you’re working the same schedule.

Pros

  • Combines estate planning with litigation experience
  • Over three decades of legal background
  • Helps create clearer, stronger wills
  • Handles heavier probate filing steps

Cons

  • Strict weekday hours may limit booking

Customer Reviews

Very pleased with the process

My husband and I hired Chris in 2017 to help us create a Trust, Wills, and Power of attorney documents. We were very pleased with the process. He took the time to explain: the legalities, guardianship for our underage child, beneficiary designations, and was able to customize the documents according to different scenarios that may occur over the lifetime of the Trust. Processing the paperwork was smooth and seamless.

He made the process very simple and at a reasonable cost

For years I have put off doing our Wills and Estate planning for all of the typical reasons.  We were referred to Chris and he made the process very simple and at a reasonable cost.  We are much more at ease knowing if something ever happens, our children will be taken care of.

Thank you Chris!

5. Dayes Law Firm

dayes-law-firm

Website: dayeslawfirm.com

Address: 3101 N Central Ave, #1300

Contact: (800) 503-2000

Hours: Mon to Sun: Open 24 hours

Dayes Law Firm is a solid choice for those who want will planning backed by a larger legal team.

I particularly like that they explain pricing upfront, so there’s less guessing before you start. The free initial consultation also makes it easier to ask basic questions before committing.

What stood out to me most is that their probate lawyers are in the same firm, which can be helpful later if your family needs support carrying out your wishes.

That said, Dayes Law Firm isn’t focused only on estate planning. Since the team also handles corporate matters and federal IEEPA tariff refund claims, the experience may feel less personal than working with a smaller wills-focused office.

Pros

  • Backed by a larger legal team
  • Explains pricing clearly before starting
  • Offers a free initial consultation
  • Includes probate lawyers within same firm

Cons

  • Not focused only on estate planning
  • May feel less personal than boutiques

Customer Reviews

I would recommend them for any Arizona needs with estates or trusts

Lucas got back to me and was able to direct me in the right direction for help with a trust that was made and executed in California. Seemed like a very professional and personable lawyer/man to deal with so I would recommend them for any Arizona needs with estates or trusts.

Mr. Frei explained what we can legally do

We were  looking for a lawyer to help us with a trust for our 86 yo dad. Had a consultation with attorney Lucas Frei.  Unfortunately, because he has dementia, doing a trust is not an option for them.  The great thing was that Mr. Frei explained what we can legally do for him to make things easier for us when our dad passes.  As our dad’s estate is simple and we do have a POA for our dad, there are a few simple things to get established to make the process easier!  Thanks again for your help Lucas!
