Pros
- Well-known therapy center with many convenient locations
- Offers online physical therapy
- Good scope of services offered
- Guaranteed appointments within 24-48 hours
- Virtually accepts all major insurance carriers and local provider networks
Cons
- Reports of scheduling conflicts ending up in late or missed appointments
- Some complaints regarding miscommunications with insurance providers
ATI Physical Therapy is a well-known therapy center all-over the US. Their North Phoenix branch, specifically, is among their top-rated ones – for good reasons.
Diving first into their services, they offer a good scope to cater to a wide patient base. From specialty therapy, to sports medicine, to workers’ comp rehab, they have expert clinicians available.
From what we hear, their therapists are a friendly bunch who makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Even the receptionists are apparently very nice and upbeat.
During a PT treatment, a dedicated therapist will be assigned to you based on your needs. He/she will then create a comprehensive, goal-oriented treatment plan during your initial evaluation.
The treatment could be a mix of hands-on therapy, exercise, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning, depending on what they see fit for you.
Ultimately, their goal is not just to heal patients from their pain, but to improve physical strength and avoid recurrence of future injuries.
We really appreciate that they guarantee appointments with a licensed physical therapist within 24-48 hours. This tells us that they care about easing patients’ pain as soon as you reach out to them.
They offer online physical therapy sessions, too, in case you can’t make it to their location.
We also think it’s great that they accept virtually all major insurance carriers and participate with many local provider networks.
Unfortunately, we did hear some complaints regarding scheduling conflicts and miscommunications with clients’ insurance providers. We hope they address these issues soon, as these really hurt their reputation in customer service.

Pros
- Has been around for over 30 years
- Heavily-trained and widely-certified licensed physical therapists
- Quick to schedule appointments (same day or next day)
- Accepts all major insurance plans
Cons
- Clinic has an open layout which may be a bit intimidating to some patients
- Not as helpful in assisting with insurance claim issues
Another popular choice among PT patients is Athletico Physical Therapy. Since 1991, they have been committed to helping ease pain and discomfort from their patients.
They require their clinicians to undergo advanced training and pursue certifications. To fulfill this, have strong partnerships with cutting-edge programs such as FOTO, MedBridge, and NextGen.
This bodes extremely well for their patients as it adds a great sense of ease that they’re in capable hands.
We also hear that their therapists are professional, caring, and go the extra mile to check in on patients (even beyond their office hours).
It also appears that they collaborate among one another to provide a comprehensive treatment course for patients. This comes very appreciated, as patients feel truly understood and well taken care of.
The clinic itself has an open layout, which we think can be intimidating to patients who’d prefer a little more privacy.
Scheduling an appointment with them is apparently a breeze, too. Sometimes you can be accommodated within the same day or the next.
They also accept all major insurance plans, which is great since physical therapy sessions don’t come cheap. However, in case there are issues with your insurance, we’ve heard that they’re not as helpful in settling it.

Pros

Cons

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the services of One Accord, and let’s just say, they know how to get our muscles grooving and our spirits soaring.
From physical therapy to wellness treatments, they’ve got it all, and they deliver it with a sprinkle of convenience, a dash of reputation, and just the right amount of cost-effectiveness.

Now, we know self-care can sometimes come with a hefty price tag, but fear not, because One Accord has cracked the code. They offer top-notch services at prices that won’t make your bank account run for the hills.
It’s like getting a luxury treatment without the guilt-induced heart palpitations. We can already hear our wallets cheering in approval.
However, they’re closed on weekends. We suggest booking an appointment with them on weekdays.

Pros
- Specializes in pediatric physical therapy
- Movement-heavy treatment plans (based on Applied Functional Sciences)
Cons
- Relatively more expensive
- Few days (or even a week) of waiting when setting appointments
Spooner Physical Therapy is privately-owned and directed by licensed physical therapists and occupational therapists.
Their treatment philosophy is grounded on Applied Functional Sciences – this means that they address injuries both locally and at the source of breakdown, and use movement to help alleviate discomfort and pain.
While they mostly offer rehabilitation services, they specialize in pediatric physical therapy. This includes newborns up to teenagers that are 18 years old.
Gross motor skills are important in a child’s physical and social development. Knowing this, they focus on functional movement patterns to boost strength, coordination, balance and body awareness.
With this, their therapists create treatment plans that are fun and motivating. These include fun activities and games that even stimulate the child’s imagination.
We think it’s smart of them to specialize in this specific area, as most similar businesses cater to adult PT treatments.
From what we’ve heard, the environment they maintain is supportive and welcoming. Patients seem to feel comfortable and motivated at their facility, which is always a green flag in our opinion.
The only thing is that their prices are relatively more expensive. They do accept most insurance plans, so it’s best to just check which of their services are covered and which ones you’ll be responsible to pay for.
We also hear that setting appointments entails a few days (or even a week) of waiting. Make sure to call ahead to book your sessions.

Pros
- Clinicians stay updated on latest treatment techniques
- Collaborative treatment approach based on patients’ lifestyle, habits, and time
- Simple but effective exercises are encouraged
Cons
- Some reports regarding miscommunications in insurance coverage
- Concerns about staff members not wearing masks and being lax in health precautions
T.O.P.S. Physical Therapy is an outpatient orthopedic clinic that offers specialized therapy and training programs.
They pride themselves in providing tailor-fit, hands-on, and full-body physical therapy techniques to maximize muscle and joint function.
To make certain that patients get the best care, they constantly have their clinicians engage in scholarly activities to stay on top of the latest treatments and techniques.
We appreciate that they do this, as it gives patients more confidence that they’re in good hands. Medical practices are always evolving, after all.
What patients love about them is their collaborative approach with their treatment plans. After a series of tests and screenings, it’s protocol for them to sit with the patient and develop a plan around their lifestyle, habits, and time.
To them, simple but effective exercises are the way to go. Nothing extraordinary about it, but we think it’s great in helping lessen the pressure on patients to perform complex workouts.
As for their insurance coverage, they accept most major insurance providers and some companies they are not yet contracted with.
The latter, however, was an issue with some of their patients. It seems that there are reports of miscommunications regarding insurance coverage.
There are also some concerns about their staff not wearing masks and practicing strict health precautions. We point this out because we understand how this could pose as a major issue to some.

Pros
- Has been in business for over 30 years
- Known for excellent customer service
- Modern and spotless facility with wide a variety of exercise machines
Cons
- Standard treatment plans; nothing unique or new
- Relatively shorter list of insurance providers
In over 30 years, STI Physical Therapy has built a reputation for being an efficient and results-oriented rehabilitation facility.
What began as a rehabilitation strength specialist group in 1981 has evolved into a full-service physical therapy center for orthopedic injuries and surgeries.
Like most, their therapy services involve diagnosing the problem and creating an individualized plan for the patient. There’s nothing unique in the way they do things, but we like that they’re known to provide excellent customer service.
From what we’ve heard, their therapists are compassionate, caring, and fun to be with. Apparently, even their receptionists are warm and incredibly accommodating.
One of the things that patients always commend them for is their professionalism and friendliness – there’s a fine line but it appears that they truly try to get to know their patients on a personal level.
Their facility deserves some praise, too, as it appears to be meticulously-maintained, spotless, and home to a wide variety of exercise machines.
As for insurance, they’re in-network and work with most major companies, but the list is relatively shorter than others. Make sure to check with them first if they can work with your insurance provider.
